Re: Do you ever feel not farang?

It's not that i do not feel welcome anywhere i have been traveling for these past 3 years. Only that i sometimes ponder about some odd things i picked up while travelling Bangkok, and that i felt a correlation was in order. There's not been any problem for me here, or anywhere else for that matter. ...

Do you ever feel not farang?

After staying here for a while, how do you feel getting accostumed into Thai culture and society? And just how different is it from back home, wherever that may be. Please do state, for the record, btw. What i want to know is are there situations where you just melt in and don't have to worry about ...

The more you hang with your significant other, the more you will realize what is keeping you together.

Re: Why do expats settle for horrible relationships with Thai girls who hate them?

I say this, Love is just so overrated. Obedience, orderly conduct, and a friendly manner is so much more than just love. I Guess a lot of expats does not really know how to hold on to, let alone treat a lady in all their earnest. Theres always two parts of a relationship and one cannot sustain witho...

I've got one of those. I do enjoy them for their pleasurable sound and dim, blue light.

Re: Home delivery of dinner

There's Burger King down the main road. About a mile north you've got chop suey w/ delivery service. Feeling like grabbing a cabbie? Fine, then go for one of the food courts. I am certain you could bring some home w/ you.

Re: Something for rice lovers to think about

The Risk Assessment Information System database states “The acute lethal dose of inorganic arsenic to humans has been estimated to be about 0.6 mg/kg/day”. A 23 year old male who ingested 8 g of arsenic survived for eight days. Not obvious from reading the article of what level of inorganic arsenic...

Re: Getting employed. What is needed?

I can see why that is not a problem. Usually foreign contractors bring in the workers from overseas with due housing and production facilities. Many of them come from highly regarded establishments. There is not a single foreign worker that did not go through the usual channels while fronting some s...

Re: Why do so many Thais look down on tourist / foreigners?

Of course, i am not saying that Thailand does not have it's fair share of social problems. Like any other place on earth there is going to be friction between populations. You see it between nations. You see it between peoples. And most of all you probably see it among yourselves. Sister to sister, ...

Re: Getting employed. What is needed?

I guess it was not as easy as i had come to expect. Never mind the business. Just getting things to roll over would be ever the harder. If you are Thai, tha'ts a total another matter. As for me, being in the point of life as it is right now. With nothing save my bare two hands... well it is going to...

Why do so many Thais look down on tourist / foreigners?

I mean, its only fair right. We do not ask for much. We bring money, rent and most of all, a gleefuul cheery holiday spirit. Still i've heard a lot of ugly stories about how some would spit at your feet or turn their noses away in disgust, just because you've had a beer or two. Is there some kind of...
