Re: Hua Hin hospital special medical clinic
Nursing care, yes it could be better, but most of Thailand's hospital care relies heavily on family support remaining with the patient 24/7 to do the basic tasks. However, that is not just HHH, it includes Bangkok Hospital and Petcharat Hospital. That is fairly normal for Thailand. I have not found...

Re: Hua Hin hospital special medical clinic
I know it's generally considered a hospital mainly for poor Thai people, but they should pay high enough salaries to be able to employ nurses with at least passable English (semi-fluent at least by Thai standards) and able to treat patients with care and empathy. But maybe they don't want to have to...

Re: One dead as airplane makes an emergency landing in Suvarnabhumi
Most of us don't keep our seatbelts fastened all of the time that we are seated, even loosely. These events are rare but it hits home when they happen. I don't suppose I'll change my behaviour because of this news. I don't really know why, but I'm hardly alone.

Re: Hua Hin hospital special medical clinic
I have a few seriously negative things to say about the standard of nursing and auxiliary care at HHH but at least nowadays they have better doctors (in part thanks to BKK specialists attending some days) and some of the best 'machines that go ping!' (Monty Python). The SMC is testament to an improv...

Re: The Boxing Thread
Dubois! I'm looking forward to (hoping for) Hrgovic then Joshua then Fury for the big win. I don't have money on it.

Re: The Boxing Thread
I agree with pharvey's scoring, I don't what the judge who gave it to Fury was smoking. A great fight, I think the real problem is that Fury doesn't really care enough about winning nowadays, I've seen interviews where he clearly says that boxing isn't the main factor in his life, and I don't think ...

Re: The Boxing Thread
Damn, I woke up too late to see the Kabayel fight which I really wanted to watch. He's now mandatory to fight Fury. Cordina just lost his two super-featherweight belts, a perfect left hook from Cacace in the 3rd was the beginning of the end, ref stopped it in the 7th. The Irishman has his game on. H...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
After buksida mentioned a second series of Outer Range I just binged the first series today and really enjoyed it. Years ago I enjoyed Orphan Black , a top sci-fi series with tremendous acting from the lead actress playing multiple characters. Orphan Black: Echoes is out now. It's not a sequel as su...

Re: The Boxing Thread
Fight time is expected to be 11'ish pm UK Time - of course pay-per-view and not far off £30 in the UK. It's the first BIG test for the sports package I recently signed up to thanks to "404cameljockey" - it's been cracking so far, so fingers crossed! :thumb: You won't be disappointed. Ther...

More on spooks: A three-part documentary Secrets and Spies: A Nuclear Game is available on BBC iPlayer now. "A British diplomat stationed in Moscow could tell something was up. Waking in her apartment a little worse for wear one morning, she found a badly burnt saucepan left on her stove. Well ...

Re: A day of shame for Thailand.
So sad. She allowed herself to die to protest over a law which should have been repealed decades ago. Fearless and principled.

For the spook fans Red Eye is very watchable if not very believable. Plenty of action and MI5, CIA and Chinese spies.

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
I really enjoyed Sharp Objects. A reporter returns to her small home town to write about two murders there, and uncovers her troubled past, even more so than she ever could have expected.

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
I watched two and a bit episodes of Wreck. It seems quite 'young adult' to me. The writing is very poor and the characters cardboard cutouts.

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
I think this season of Clarkson's Farm is the best so far. He's really a farmer now, albeit not a great one. I really feel his heart is in it. I'm happy he makes money from TV because all small-scale farming is fraught with disaster.
