They have one to borrow but about 20 guys from Laos/Myanmar had to use the lender.
Is this a new thing? All three licenses I've been issued have had pictures of me wearing a tshirt.

Re: 2019 F1 News and Prediction Tournament

Reports again indicating that Mercedes/Hamilton still having issues with tyre wear - anymore info? Some changes this year with tyres. Hamilton dodged around questions saying he would have to speak to the engineers first. Probably more to do with his long face when he doesn't win! He looked perfectl...

Re: Frenchwoman fined, jailed and deported for vaping

There has been more than ample advertisement by the Thai Government and chatter on boards that vaping is illegal in Thailand. Yes the first thing you see when opening any tourist brochure is a big red warning about the dangers or vaping, isn't it...??? I doubt the average two week holiday ma...

Re: Renewing two year driver's license

Has anyone been to Pranburi lately to renew their Thai two year license? We are hoping to get five more years and wondering: 1. Do we need a medical certificate? 2. Do we need proof of address letter from immigration and if so do we still have to pay B500 per letter despite the "no tip" p...

Re: Tips for recycling and reducing plastic use in Thailand

I read somewhere that by 2050, 60% + of the world's population will be living in urban areas. To me that means high rise condos and apartments. I would think that anything over four floors have garbage chutes and pose a completely new set of problems. Composting is out of the question which means a...

Re: Tips for recycling and reducing plastic use in Thailand

And as for filling up my limited freezer space with a box full of wet waste... I'm not even sure what that's supposed to achieve, anyway. what it achieves is it stops your kitchen (home) reeking of food waste - unless of course you take it downstairs multiple times per day. I can't abide the smell ...

Re: Tips for recycling and reducing plastic use in Thailand

For you personally, obviously a no as you're seeking excuses not to change your habits and ridiculing any suggestions given to you. I'm not seeking excuses. I've posted legitimate reasons as to why I can't or won't make the changes suggested. I'm not going to sit in an apartment with an ever increa...

Re: Tips for recycling and reducing plastic use in Thailand

There are plenty of biodegradable/compostable bin liners on the market. Don't make excuses!! Thanks everybody for the feedback. I was really only replying in the context of the article about banning of plastic bags and rather than the whole thread in general. Your average joe isn't going to go out ...

Re: Tips for recycling and reducing plastic use in Thailand

The thing I don't understand is... Paper bags are useless for lining your bins with. So if I a ban ever came into place full-time I'd actually end up using almost as many plastic bags as before, except now I'll need to pay for them, and I'd end up with an additional load of paper bags that are of li...

Re: Place for a really good burger

Im making the comparison-- Farang in Thailand search for quality Farang food and Thais in the farang world search for Thai food--Same Same Yes I'm sure nobody had ever considered that before... You could probably make that point in pretty much any thread on this dub-forum and it would still be just...

From the article
The mum of the British Formula One driver tipped as the next Lewis Hamilton is a fraudster – jailed for a £7.5million car scam.
I'd love the paper in question to find a single credible article tipping him as the next Leiws Hamilton!

Re: TAT smiling about Hua Hin tourists, but almost 80% are Thai

That's a good way of looking at it - the Bangkok hisos that take over Hua Hin at the weekends look at farangs as if they are cockroaches. I've never knowingly been looked at by a "Bangkok hiso", or anyone other Thai that I can recall for that matter, as if I'm a cockroach. In fact most of...
