Activities for small children

Does anyone know is there any indoor playgrounds near Khao Takiab or in Hua Hin generally?

Re: New Development Takiab South

BB's pic at http://www.huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=30733#p398556 is the same sign I saw and doesn't look much like a ferry terminal, with a few small boats drawn in. The project description at the site doesn't mention anything about ferries either, if I recall correctly. Still dubious!...

Re: Oil Slick puts Hua Hin Beach at it's dirtiest ever ?

Ps. Is there a chance that the new construction project is polluting that side of the beach?

Re: Oil Slick puts Hua Hin Beach at it's dirtiest ever ?

Had a walk along the beach just south of Takiap today. Quite a depressing site...so many foreigners on sun loungers and at the beachside cafes but the beach itself was covered in what looked like plastic sheets or bags covered in oil and black globules on the sand. Everyone had black patches on the...

Re: New Development Takiab South

Thanks for the photos, it does look a bit large...is there also a new road coming to the beach because what I recall, the road was rather narrow coming from the Jamchuree. I wonder how much more there will be traffic on the south side and around Takiab. Will it be a commercial harbour or for fishing...

Re: New Development Takiab South

I can take photos if you want but there really isn't much to see just yet other than a fairly long rock wall basically going directly out to sea on the southern side of where the fishing boats enter their port on the southern side of Monkey Mountain. Doesn't really change the landscape much, just a...

Re: New Development Takiab South

Can anyone post photos of all this? I'm curious because we were there in spring 2014 and what I have read now, the area has changed a lot. Where exactly is the new terminal and how big it is? Does anyone know about the big empty lot with the poisonous water signs in front of the Jamchuree and the fi...

Thai SIM with internet?

Where can you get them and how costly are they? Our condo where we are going to stay next spring has wi-fi only in the front lobby and it's really slow. Could I maybe buy a somekind of Pre-paid SIM with internet to my iPhone6? Is the internet access usually limited to something? Thanks!

Re: Grocery shopping in Khao Takiab

Haha, okay guys...! Thanks really for all the valuable advices, this is really overwhelming! :D :D At first I thought that okay this is too dangerous for me to try out, but as I read Big Boy's story about the house build in the middle of the road and the mad max crossing, I really have to take the c...

Re: Grocery shopping in Khao Takiab

Takiab soi 8 is very narrow, there is an alternative with less traffic from where you are with the bike is turn left into the white temple to the end, there is a road along the canal that will take you to the railroad crossing, from there you can cross into Hua Hin soi 91 to Petchkasam. The Tesco L...

Re: Grocery shopping in Khao Takiab

Wow! Thanks guys! Yes, I found the small bridge and the 91 road. We stay at the Jamchuree so I guess it's a bit of a hike but maybe I will test it someday then. Cheers!

Re: Grocery shopping in Khao Takiab

if you are brave and good on a scooter, you can go to the soi 112 market across the main highway from the waterpark. that is a thai open air market with all kinds of fresh raw chicken, pork, fish, everything, good prices, but of course no baby stuff. starts at 4pm everyday day. Yes, I found this sa...

Re: When was your first visit to Hua Hin?

The first time was in march 2014. I had never been to Thailand, only Japan and China and had somekind of prejudices of the whole Thailand being just full of drunken tourists. I must say I fell in love to the country instantly and Hua Hin was suprisingly laid back place. Just what I needed then and n...
