Just another pristine area of the World that us humans are bound to mess up.

Re: Are expats falling out of love with the Land of Smiles?
Many long standing prolific posting forum members have left over the years and not needed to explain why and that’s as it should.
People have there own reason why they leave a country to return home, I for one, don’t expect any explanation, nor
would I ask for one, it’s none of my business.

Yes,
“Launched next month” could cover a year or so, then quietly forget it and try something else.

Re: Living with a severe nut allergy in Hua Hin
Our son is allergic to all nuts with the exception of hazel nuts🤔 and visits Thailand at least once a year. Always a real problem making sure that there are no nuts in the food. His mum is Thai and always speaks directly to the cooks to ensure they don’t use any when cooking his meals. Equally as ba...

Re: Best way to do a data backup
I tend to backup my laptop to a separate 2TB “My Passport” separate hard drive every month. Also all pictures off my phone go onto it as well. They are cheap enough now and it’s quick and easy to do. I backup my iPhone and iPad to iTunes as well. As a backup, backup, I copy all documents and picture...

I always take TAT figures with a pinch of salt.
I suspect BigBoys measurements are more accurate than those of TAT.

Re: Very boring car designs!
It’s all SUV’s, Pickups and Crossovers here in UK. We have a couple of new SUV’s (1x 7 seater, 1x 5 seater) and find them very convenient and the designs are very good, compared to family saloons or hatchbacks. You can only do so much with any vehicle design, if you want it to be competitive in any ...

Re: Thai Airways 'sorry' passengers forced to vacate seats for crew
My wife and son normally fly EVA Air but last trip in August booked with Thai Aiways. We booked tickets 10 weeks In advance and asked for allergy free food for our son on both out bound and inbound flights. Phoned a week before flight to confirm dietary needs. On the outbound LHR-BKK there was no fo...

Re: Thai Internet legislation - premier dismisses cyber bill criticism
I wonder if these idiots realise, that this bill would give access to the Junta members online banking details, emails to their nefarious, out of country partners in crime and so much more.
Of course, they are all whiter than white, so they don’t need to worry. 🤬

Re: Electrical installation advice.
The problem in this country is not always just the equipment being used. The installers are obliged to use what is available in the market, and MOST of it is of good international quality. The days of bare knife main switches and screw in ceramic fuses are long gone. Look at the photo of the consum...

Re: Electrical installation advice.
I'm sure some time ago that a regulation was brought in requiring that all new builds had to have 3 wire (earth) installation. I remember one project that failed inspection because it was a 2 wire set-up and they had to rewire the whole project before they got certification. But this being Thailand...
