Re: New on the Scene

Hello Peter & Carol.
Welcome to the forum
All the best to you both, for your future in Hua Hin.
I do believe that we already met, in Home Pro, lurking in the bathroom section.
I think I gave my number the offer still stands for a brew or a beer when you are settled.

Re: New protocol for posting venue recommendations

We're not going down any road - we just fail to see why these places cant stump up ten baht a day (less than the price of a small beer each week) to have their own thread, but have to rely on their customers clandestinely plugging them here. As said above - most mention the forum to these bar/rest/...

Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfa

For a good breakfast we like Bobby's bar on Soi 102. Where Nam cooks you a great brekkie Last time we were there it was 5 items for 99 baht, plus you can add on extras of your choice, eg black pudding Bobbys also sells tasty packs of bacon, sausage and ham from the freezer. Bobby's is a great littl...

Re: Stone Gardens vs Grass Gardens

Sorry everyone the photos failed yet again. :banghead:
Thanks pete for the instructions, I have followed them to the letter, but when I get to the progress bar, it comes up as file invalid.
So I am now out of ideas and will seek an answer to my problem in the digital realm
Thanks Paderborn

Re: Stone Gardens vs Grass Gardens

Artificial grass anyone? I put a small piece down in a very troublesome shady spot It has been down now about 20 months, it has not faded, it is permiable. I can take it up when the workmen are going to trample all over it, and has fooled lots of people. It is quite convincing The rest of the garden...

Re: 6 month rental house with pool wanted

Yes Pagey, The OP asked for somewhere West or central to HH.
Two posters mentioned (yourself included) Soi 102 before I did.
I just spoke in defence of the area following your "tongue in cheek" comment.
No hard feelings

Re: Gas BBQ

Hi They had some great gas BBQ's at Beautiful World (the furniture shop on Petchkasem road, near Index) last time I was there a couple of weeks ago. They looked high end models, although I never checked the price out. They seem to have expanded to more outdoor living stuff. It might be worth a look ...

Sound proofing house against low frequency noise (bass)

Hello everyone, This links to the post Missing you bar (formerly Dicks office) We have a bar opened quite close to our property, and the loud music is unbearable. Especially the low frequency bass noise, which is the really the worst. The booming sound penetrates & reverberates inside the house....

Re: Miss you bar soi 80 - formerley Dicks Office

HHF You have hit the nail right on the head! :banghead: When we bought here in 2006, there was next to nothing near us, we thought we were quite rural! Oh how the place has changed. For almost 5 years life has been pretty good, and for about 20 hours a day it still is, but from about 9.30pm to 1.30p...
