I understand from the police at the Palace that the King is leaving Bangkok at about 7.00pm and will arrive in Hua Hin about 3 hours later.

How long is the letter from the Embassy, confirming the pension, valid for presentation to Immigration Dept?

My renewal is due in January but can I get the letter say 3 months months before this date?

Take a look at www.expatmotors.co.th they are in Bangkok and run by farangs. I bought from them and was very pleased as was another friend in HH. at worst you can compare prices with those local to HH

You will do much better to go to Bangkok.

Service at main dealers afterwards in HH is good from my experience.
