Re: Replacing fridge in rental property

In Europe, when you rent and provided it is clearly mentioned in the rental contrat , it is quite common for the tenant to pay maintenance for any included appliances...unfortunately !..If the appliance is not mentioned in the inventory that is made before signing the rental contract, it legally doe...

Re: 10 year visas now available, can somebody tell immigration

After what happened to the "to big to fail" globan US banking player, I humbly consider that in banking, anything can happen to any bank, anywhere. The only security a consumer would have is to have it in a country (like Switzerland) where the government gives a guarantee of around €100'00...

All the more reason if you can do so in your country, to put savings in banks within countries that guaran...

Re: Farang buying a house with a Thai lady

I don't understand that at all. Are you saying instead of putting it in your future wife's name you put it in ...

Re: Police corruption, drug tested in Hua Hin

Looks that that there is a high level of jealousy towards foreigners, within the boys in brown with their shiny golden wings. And seems that the issue gets worse if you have a chesty Thai girlie by your side! How much longer will such open corruption be tolerated by the top brass of Thai governance ...

Re: Thai police website leaks details on 800,000 people

The article says that the data was inherent to "visits" of the Thai Police? What kind of "visits" would these mean? This could lead to understand that in Thailand the police can just walk into any home they target and start to racket the residents and post their identity on the i...

The case is real scary. Farangs seem brave to still buy property under leasehold, in such a lawless environment!
