There's also a place in the railway road near the crazy track crossing/traffic circle, to the north of the crossing.

Re: Thai Fresh Eggs
Yes, I need practice with hard boiled eggs. My daughter likes deviled eggs and by the time I get finished it's usually a disaster, mainly because the shell sticks to the white when peeling and breaks it apart. I've read somewhere either soak the hardboiled egg in cold water, or don't soak?....to ge...

Re: Where to buy Plant Seeds? (Fruits, herbs, vegetables)
Makro by soi 6 also almost always sells a few different herb plants such as rosemary, parsley, and etc. Seeds for all herbs and vegetables used in Thai food can be found here in Hua-Hin. I agree that Chatuchak has obviously got more to choose from, but it is a bit of a drag getting there. If you do ...

I'm no aware of any hydroponics supplier in the area, but I'm sure you could probably find what you are looking for on lazada.com

Re: Tops Supermarket in Hua Hin?
Well, Tops coming to town is no big deal for me, but seeing as though I am in the area almost daily, I will pop in every now and then to see if there's anything interest or any good deals. I eat farang type meals almost exclusively these days, all of which are prepared by me, but I find I don't real...

Re: Name difference problem renewing UK passport
So far those who have responded have changed family names usually due to marriage. In this case it is the forenames that are the issue. Thai passport with one Thai forename, UK passport with a western name and the Thai forename. Can a Thai have two forenames? Will one of the names have to be dropped...

Re: Where to buy Plant Seeds? (Fruits, herbs, vegetables)
If you head up the road that leads to the crazy railway crossing by G Supermarket you will find a shop on your left hand side of the road that sell some pet foods, but mostly things like fertilizers, pesticides, and etc. They also sell a good selection of seeds, mostly herbs and vegetables, but usua...

Best of luck mate, and hoping you enjoy a speedy recovery. I know two guys here who were diagnosed with bladder cancer. The one had the tumor removed 5 years ago and has been fine ever since. The other had his tumor removed about 2 months ago and is due for his first check up next month.

Re: Junta to tax foreign online shopping platforms
What I can't seem to justify/get my head around, is if a Thai person travels to the US for example, they are obviously going to spend money there. Should all those shops, hotels and etc be made to pay tax in Thailand based on the amount of money Thai people spent at those businesses. Obviously not, ...

Re: Best bank to use
I don't know how they compare to other banks as far as international banking is concerned, but other than that, I have never found reason to complain about Kasikorn bank. If you open an account with them, I would suggest doing so at their branch at Market Village or the biggish branch on the main ro...

In other countries you would both be foreigners, so both of you would have to stand in the same queues.

Re: Junta to tax foreign online shopping platforms
I can really see how this will work. Amazon for example has no official Thai web presence, and to the best of my knowledge, not warehouses here either. Thai or expats buying on amazon.com are buying from an American company on an American website. Any tax paid by Amazon would need to be paid to the ...
