Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

I've just been reading the link https://www.immigration.go.th/content/service_22 Paragraph 5 should cover anybody genuinely living here i.e.: Have money in a year And have a bank deposit. Calculate at least 800,000 baht, up to the date of application. Personally, I tend to transfer £10K twice a year...

Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

Sorry T.O.M. I don't understand what you are saying. Are you saying the Swedes, Danes, Swiss and Germans are doing something illegal? Or are you suggesting the British Embassy were issuing fake letters? Could you please clarify?

What does any other nationality (except US & Australia) do?

Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

I must say, I thought this news would have been devastating for some, and generated a huge reaction. I know a few people who rely on this method. If the Embassy won't issue a letter of confirmation, is there another way of proving income?

Re: Petty problems with hua hin immigration

I genuinely forgot once - I calculated the fine as 5,000 Baht. I think they took pity on me, and fined me 2,000 Baht. Entirely my fault, but ogres, they were not. All fully receipted as well. I was happy with the treatment. Mind you, I'd have been happier if they'd let me off altogether.

I see Thais must teach Geography as well as their history, but here are next season's T1 competitors:

On the floor where the buses leave from (Ground or 1 - not sure if English or American), at the (Hua Hin Bus) end, a shuttle mini-bus leaves quite regularly.

Re: Thailand Football

Written as a Ratchaburi Mitr Phol supporter: The final league table, and it has been a big shock to me this morning. A team that I have considered Ratchaburi's equal all season has fallen. I had assumed last night's battle to avoid the final relegation place was between Chainat Hornbill and Sukotha...

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?

:agree: I've been driving the road from Ratchaburi to Hua Hin at night quite a bit in the last 6 months. 10 miles either side of Petchaburi is particularly bad for this, and I encounter dozens on every journey. Driving a bike at night on that stretch is bad enough, but with no lights is madness.

Re: Ford Ranger Powertrain Problem

Well, the car is back, and all seems well. I got the call to collect 3 hours earlier than expected. The whoosh sound has gone, so maybe a leaky intercooler has been the problem all along. Not sure when the next decent run will be to test the repair. Although the last time the light came on it was ab...

OMG, the league is crazy this year, I'm off the bottom, but the same position as last week. Who are these interlopers muscling in on our league.
