hi we make a joke me and my wife about the happy little persons the reason for the plastic ticket is to check how long you have been in the car park if you are there for more then two hours you have to pay 30 baht an hour parking if you read the notice board on the way out it explanes it to you but ...

when in england buy a lyca mobile sim card calls to thailand 1p a min but you need to have a open network phone and you can use it were ever you are. £15 for a phone in carphone warehouse

I dont know if this will help you or not if you havent bought 3G as a package from AIS and have wifi turn off the cellular data in settings and you wont get charged for it
