Re: TM6 entry form/Thailand Digital Arrival Card

I visited Malaysia last week and had to complete their Digital Arrival Card. It wasn’t complicated but it was clunky and slow particular in adding dates. I returned to Thailand yesterday 3 May and I obviously had to do the TDAC before my arrival. Completing the online form was easier than doing the ...

Re: TM6 entry form/Thailand Digital Arrival Card

Khundon… in my opinion if your wife is Thai and travelling on a Thai passport then she does not need to complete the online form. If she’s Thai but travelling on a British passport then she’s British and requires to fill in the form. I think, without going back to check the wording, that the legisla...

Laser cut fence panels

I am considering getting some aluminium laser cut fence panels made for a section of my perimeter however I haven’t been able to find a local supplier online. I found one in Pattaya who say they deliver nationwide but they did not respond to my message. Are there any suppliers locally and in particu...

Re: Hua Hin Motorcycle Taxi Driver Arrested For Egg Attack On Tourist

We have used the same tuk tuk driver for many years. He charges 200 baht to or from the town or 300 baht to or from Market Village/Soi 94. He has proven to be very reliable but his prices are just slightly less than a similar distance journey for me in the UK. We never drink and drive so we need a t...

Re: Thap Sakae Kite Festival

Looks interesting. Do you know the location? I’m assuming it will be one of our beaches. Ive looked at the advert with Google translate but the location appears to be missing. Edit…… looks like it is Thap Sakae wherever that is. Now to check out Maps. Edit edit….Thap Sakae is 80 miles south of Hua H...

Re: Traffic jams on Rama II Road blamed for Hua Hin's decline

An interesting footnote on PeteC’s post and on his link to the Bangkok Post article is the final paragraph…… “According to the Department of Highways, from 2018 to March 15 this year, there have been over 2,500 accidents on Rama II Road from km 0 to km 84, resulting in 144 deaths and 1,440 injuries....

Re: Air raid siren in Hua Hin?

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s a duck….right. Not in this case. I heard an “air raid siren” and convinced myself that could have been the only source of that noise, but, in my defence it was windy and the wind partially obscured the noise and distance. I heard the same “air raid...

Air raid siren in Hua Hin?

About 8.16am this morning an air raid siren went off somewhere in the town. It blew continiously for about 2 mins before stopping. I’ve never heard this before.

Is it normal or are we getting invaded?
