Bats in roofspace
I think I might have reasonably large bats in part of my roofspace. This area is unaccessible so I cannot physically check it. Should they be removed or left there. I am concerned about build up of guana if left. Are they seasonal and do they migrate or do I try and block their access point after th...

Re: It will all be alright !
I am a long time visitor and pre Covid came over to HH 2/3 times per year with my family. We were over in March this year, not long after the country opened up and found that about 80% of shops and bars in the Bintabaht block were closed. The bars and restaurants which were open had very few custome...

Re: Motorbike & Car rental, Cha-Am-Hua Hin
Re Hua Hin cars advert. I have booked a return airport transfer with them for November. They replied very quickly and the prices are as shown on their website. I also wanted to rent 2 x Honda Click motorbikes. The price on the advert shown by BB was 700 baht per week for each bike and their website ...

Muay Thai stadium
Where is the best stadium to go to now to watch fights?
I believe the Grand has been demolished and I suspect the Thai boxing garden in town is now closed.
Any other options?

Trip to Krabi - transport options
I am thinking of doing a trip to Krabi and then onto Phi Phi island for a couple of days and would appreciate any comments on transport options to Krabi. Air Asia are doing flights from DM to Krabi. This would entail a 3 hour trip to BKK, 2 hours check in and about 1 hour flight. Possibly 1 hour to ...

Re: Replica football tops
We found one stall in the night market doing replica tops. My granddaughter checked a PSG top and wasn't happy with the quality of the stitching so declined to purchase the top. Don’t know if the other tops were better or similar quality. Thanks for the replies.

Re: Speed cameras, limits, and tickets
Speeding cameras are not new. I got caught by one about 15 years ago while driving a hire car from the River Kwai back to HH. Black and white time stamped photo showing the front of the car. I knew the renter of the car. He paid the fine and claimed it back from me next time he saw me.

Replica football tops
We previously bought kids replica football kits from SP Sports which was opposite the Tanawit Hotel. Went past there today and it has closed down or moved.
Anybody know of any other football top shops in town?

Re: The Home Air-Conditioner Thread
On the strength of the review given to the Winter Wind air con company on this forum, I got them in today to service my air con units. I totally agree with the previous review. These guys were professional, competent and thorough. All units were stripped down to the chassis, cleaned and rebuilt. Fan...

Test and Go hotels
I am looking for a Test and Go hotel in Hua Hin. I have found plenty of SHA+ hotels but very few seem to offer the airport pick up, PCR test and a nights accommodation. In addition to that, I read that flights into BKK which land after 4pm would not be tested until the following day, meaning a 2 nig...

RIP Roger Gray
It is with regret that I have to announce that Roger Gray, a long term Hua Hin resident and my friend passed away, in the presence of his loving wife, on Saturday 26 September 2020 after a long illness bravely borne. Roger was an American citizen and resided in Hua Hin for approx 20 years. He initia...
