Re: Cost of medications
I myself needed a month's worth of Rivaroxaban last year, so I went round 4 or 5 chemists in town and the price was the same..about 4500b per 30 tablet box (20mg)..& each chemist would not split a box & sell you strips individually. Now..because I get these free on the UK's NHS.. last week I...

Re: Hua Hin on Its Way to Becoming a “Special Tourist City”
Well I've said it before, and I'm sorry for repeating myself, but IMO Hua Hin is a mess. The main beach entrance near the Centara is cluttered, the water taps to rinse your feet have been turned off, the horses STILL stand right as you try to step onto the beach. Now move along..The seafront COULD b...

Re: HTMS Sukhothai - Crew Abandon Ship
Reading the report from the Bangkok Post..It seems there was quite a few areas of damage, & many listed as 'unidentifiable' ..Now I'm not a naval expert, but after reading the post from Jack_Batty (& I DO believe him when he says a vessel can be sealed when in rough seas) it would seem there...

Re: Tonnes of carcinogenic cadmium in Samut Sakhon go missing
As B.B. states in his opening post..10,000T is a helluva figure..that's 400 x 25T truck-loads..Now that's a very fat brown envelope I suspect! There must be many folk accountable for all of this, but let's not forget that more of that big figured money, if offered, will make the whole issue go away....

Re: Thailand tourism situation
I've been reading various reports today about the mayhem caused by the sudden introduction of new Covid entry-rules for Thailand..Mainly about the mass cancellations from Russia, Skandi countries & other European nations..! January, being the main month for tourism here, & the Thai governmen...

Re: No reason given for permanent closure of popular Saphan Pla Hua Hin Walking Street
Since mid December I've tried to visit this place for the ambience etc..Every time I went there was bugger all there! So this inconsistency about whether it was 'on' or not? may have had folk (same as myself) thinking sod it..& not bother coming any more to an empty pier../

Steve/Dannie Boy..Yes..you're both correct IMO. I've a group of friends from my home-village area all wanting to come here..BUT after discovering they would have to jump thru hoops, fill in forms, then get 'accepted'... even before boarding the plane kinda had them stalling somewhat. THEN to find ou...

Re: (Don't) Wear a Mask Debate
It seems that in H.H. the only folk refusing to wear masks (When EVERY THAI PERSON in town is doing so) are fat middle-aged farang ex-pats! All day long I see farangs on motorcycles with no helmet, & no mask.. OK, what makes them so special..? Do they not witness the black looks from the locals....

Reliable STD clinic in H.H..?
Since my return to H.H. I've been a naughty boy..(on more than 1 occasion).. :naughty: My thoughts now are to get a thorough sexual-health check, but Where..? 3 yrs ago I went to a clinic on Petkasem Rd (opp side & up a bit from BKK Bank)..That was for a simple Clamydia test, but I could do with...

Re: The speed of a heart attack
Firstly.. My condolences to you HHTel on the untimely passing of your dear sis. Last year I was diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation...(uneven heart beat). Seemingly it is quite common in today's society, and I am now on daily blood-thinners to reduce the likelyhood of clots forming... But according t...

Re: Soi 80 after Covid?
Sorry this is not about Soi 80 bars, but... After being linked to a bar down Bintabaat for a good 22 years the wife has decided to keep it closed! On the announcement that the bars may well be opening again next month....The (greedy) Thai/Chinese landlady gave/offered my missus the new monthly rates...
