I whole heartedly agree with you about cutting public spending. Lets see how Reform get on where they are in charge.

I made it through to just under 5 minutes of complete waffle, without him actually saying anything, apart from 'big bank.' If that was meant to be a bit of self promotion, he failed. He's barely literate, for gawds sake.

Although It doesn’t make any difference to the cost, I believe that the doubling up of the council tax is due to it being a second home rather than being non-resident - people living in the UK with a second home are charged double and it’s having a huge impact on house values - I read yesterday tha...

I am spoiled by Macro perhaps, but it seems a strange way to do business. Be interested to know how others handled the triple queue. Never thought abouut it like that. I have just finished my main shop, then paid for it. Then wandered to the bread selection, bought my bread, got them to cut it (big...

I just feel it's all pre-determined. Taksin's return was a shock and also clearly pre-determined. The people 'needed' a 'popular' leader to ward of the opposition, and to retain control by fair means or foul. But once again, Taksin overplayed his hand, and just as h' was brought back, it's now time ...

There's seating and beds all along the beach until just beyond the last soi. There are various restaurants as well. Don't know about call buttons. Sit anywhere and you'll be offered a menu.

Yes, I like my toast well cooked. I'm the guy in the cheaper Thai hotel, who sends his bread around the toaster thingy 3 times to get the right consistency!

Re: A Medical Emergency in Hua Hin
If the physios in Hua Hin hospitals/clinics are like my other halfs niece, who is a physiotherapist at a major Bkk hospital, then they will probably have elderly clients who they visit at home in a private capacity. They started as regular attendees, who then asked her to visit them at home instead....

I have the plate, screws, etc. I can get around fine with a Zimmer (no more than 20% weight on damaged leg. Okay, thanks. I misunderstood. I was thinking that irrespective of the damage, they'd be a period where it was rest, rest and rest, with just some aid like a crutch to help you get to the loo...

I was in MV yesterday, so asked the lady at the 3BB counter if I coud sign up there for the footy. Was told yes, and everything was done there and then, or so I thought. Although I use my phone via AIS, it's the first time I have used any of their other services. I have been with 3bb since moving to...

Re: A Medical Emergency in Hua Hin
The actual cost was a fraction of quoted price. Now, we all know many doctors work several hospitals whilst they are here, and I think (can't be sure) he was talking to A&E Dept, and thought I was in Bangkok Hospital. I doubt it. When I was taken ill, albeit at the end of covid, I spent 6 weeks...
