Bill,
Thanks for both of your posts. That's very reassuring re ADSL / Khao Takieb.
Much appreciated info.

Thanks for your reply Silverbird. Well, we're not looking for a 'holiday home' as such, more somewhere to live that's near to golf courses and where I can continue to run my UK based business (need ADSL). I have enquired about the houses near the Sport Villa, but haven't heard back yet (enquired twi...

Peak Season and Rentals
Hi All, I've seen the advice about arriving in town and finding a house to rent yourself rather than pre booking and I can see the logic in this, but I am a little concerned as we will be arriving on 1 December, which is approaching peak season. Is Hua Hin likely to be packed at this time and if so,...

Thank you Buksida, I have read that thread, it was one the things that prompted my post. Would you say this situation is unusual? I see that a lot of you run businesses there. Is it a severe hindrance? I would need to be online from 4pm to about 8pm local time if that's significant. Or is it just ge...

Internet access in HH - how bad is it really?
Hi, Getting a little nervous as I am seeing a lot of posts about the poor connectivity in HH. Nervous because we are going to be there for three months from Dec to early March and I am going to try and find a rental property with ADSL in order to continue running my business in UK. I need to downloa...

It's still unclear at what stage the plot was foiled. It has been suggested that liquid explosives may have been placed in hand luggage disguised as drinks, thus no hand luggage allowed today from UK. Babies bottle milk will be allowed but must be tasted by parents in front of staff to prove it is m...

Thanks for the replies and sorry for the confusion.
I believe the name of the condo is Chonburi (but I have also seen it spelt Jamburee). It's in Khao Takiep. Web link is below.

Anyone know Chonburi condo?
Hi, Is anyone familiar with Chonburi Condo, Khoa Takieb? I'm looking to rent a condo there for 3 months. As with everything, it looks good on the photos, but just wondering what you thought. Basically it's a working holiday - I will be running our business via laptop from wherever we stay plus hopef...

You are right. Chaweng is absolutely awful. But there is so much more to Samui than Chaweng. I've spent several months on Samui over the last few years and we never, ever go to Chaweng unless we have to. I think this year we went once. Samui is a complete split personality. Get up to Maenam and beyo...

Challenge! Find place for my family to stay - Christmas
Hello, I've been hovering around for a while now and picked up some really useful tips, so thanks. But now I really need some help! We will be in HH from Dec to March, in a rented house. My challenge is to find somewhere for my sister and her husband to stay, near us along with their 3 kids - 5 year...
