Hi Freddy,

Thanks for the update - any info adds a dimension to the search for somewhere nice to spend a few days' R&R.... 8) It's a simple enough formula but the plethora of hotels makes choosing one an inevitable lottery.

Cheers.

All things are relative, Baron ! One man's excess is another man's sufficiency. Actually I had "other fish to fry" so didn't get out on a bender with Dave. Nice fella though, maybe we can manage to snatch a wee swally this time.......

I have just booked to stay there for three weeks at New Year, as I did last year and found the accommodation clean, well presented and perfectly adequate for my needs. Would recommend. Dave and Narm are great.

What a heart-warming article, based on good old-fashioned chivalry and common respect for others, of whatever ostensible "status" in life. If only more people were like this.... Chok dee m8 :D

"Top Man", Buksida. Appreciate the "steer". There are so many options, but even to narrow it down to Ao Nang is a help.

Cheers.

I'm not qualified to comment on many of your headings but I did enjoy a woman or two in Koh Samui last January.... You don't need to search hard, they'll approach you very often, sometimes with a rather familiar "handshake"

Suggest you read back through the forum and there's plently mentions of massage places that offer "extras" (allegedly). I know you will appreciate the need for discretion but sanuk starts at BKK airport (see "On The Road") and never ends......... :P

Krabi

Hi, are any members familiar with the Krabi area ? I'll be in HH for my annual sanuk tour in January and intend to visit Krabi early in the month. Any recommendations welcome, for a quality hotel/beach villa, resort-hotel.

"within reason"........ :o Need a few chums to share the cost of that one then !! One might think that even a once or twice-weekly HH to Krabi/Phuket/Koh Samui shuttle-hopper would be worth running, even just a small plane. Better to run a smaller aircraft full than a large aeroplane half-...

Been quite a few tomes to Day and Night. Have only ever been offered "straight" service but their two-hour oil massage for c 800 baht was really good. No "nonsense" unfortunately, but a good competent massage. Fun and games can be had elsewhere, allegedly... :P

Having flown into and out of HH airport a year and a half ago, from/to BKK, I have to acknowledge that a BKK/HH service must commercially be marginal when it's so easy/quick to get a decent taxi (c2 hrs 2000 baht). Considering that you have to check-in either end about an hour before your flight dep...

Nicely encapsulated ! Our Finnish friend obviously has his own "hang-up" viz: he won't pay for nookie... I know a few like him - it's their problem, why should the rest of us get aerated ? I took a similar stance when I was younger, not on principle, just 'cos I had no money !!! Now I have...
