Thanks, Ricardo, In the time available, we settled for Royal HH and had a great round. The set-up there is great, one caddy-girl per player, an electric buggy and good distance/club advice from the helpful caddy too. True service. I would recommend the course to anyone looking for a golf-experience ...

I've now been to HH three times, on consecutive years, always flying out alone, but at the end of my first trip, I met a thai girl and developed a relationship with her on the email. We met-up again on my second trip and spent pleasant days at various beaches, restaurants etc, actually making the jo...

Local Golf Courses

Would anyone like to recommend a not-too-difficult local course for a round this week ? I play a wee bit but my thai g/f has just started, following a series of pro lessons at a driving range. We would like to hire a set of clubs etc at the course if that would be possible. A guide as to how much it...

Yeah, keep your "sensible head"on at all times. We can all get a bit over-generous (even us jocks) but keep a sense of proportion and you should survive and thrive.

Sorry, I don't know, perhaps Lev can confirm. If it is, there are worse places to spend hogmanay. :D

:o I view development with mixed emotions, Lev. On the one hand, it can be construed as progress, but on the other, it can represent destruction of the character of the village that made it so popular in the first place ! "Change" is not always equal to "improvement", but the fac...

Not sure if it's an annual event or was just a one-off last year, but the Sengha Beer Festival was terrific fun. Sengha beer sold by the jug, enough for six or so cups. The wee man pouring the jugs from the barrel was amazed as I kept returning, again and again, until after 12 jugs I just had to run...

Disturbed to hear about a mature French guy in Hua Hin who is married to a Thai lady. His alleged predilection is to follow innocent thai girls home, barge into their house, strip-off and masturbate in front of them ! Vive le sport and all that, but can I hire someone to break his legs or cut his di...

There was a singha beer festival last year with food stalls all around. Just south of HH centre on the landward side. Hope it's on again, great craic.

If your "arch-enemy" only turns out to be the age-old ginger marauder, a brisk rub-down with an oily rag should help. The wife might need deeper treatment.....
