Re: Buying an airgun in HuaHin/Thailand
Top floor of Market Village, the shop that sells all the tacky knifes etc. I brought an "under the counter" Canon Super 737. I had a few beers at the time to be honest and it seemed like a neat little toy to mess around in the garden with. I paid 7000 Baht for it, which is about right if y...

Re: Central shopping mall coming to Hua Hin?
Seriously? I genuinely didnt know there was more up market places in Hua Hin. Ive been to Intercontinental and Hilton etc etc for a bit of grub and figured they would make more of an effort - but I just though it was the same as a local Thai place. Ok, fair enough. Ill check out Palm Bistro sometime...

Has anyone seen my car keys?
I feel certain I left them in the little wooden bowl by the front door but I am sadly mistaken. Any ideas?

Re: Central shopping mall coming to Hua Hin?
Anyway in my opinion, the poster who refered to MV having an anchor store is spot on. Nadprob is completley crap and is just full of small shops that sell tourist crap. I nip in there for an Indian take out sometimes and got chatting to the Indian fella who worked for the now closed shop that sold d...

Re: Central shopping mall coming to Hua Hin?
"Dining on fine cuisine" lolololo...... That actually did tickle me. Yup - who needs Paris or London when you fancy Steamed Cornish mussels with parsley and garlic in a West Country cider sauce when you can have a great chicken satay and warm chang beer half way up a random soi in Hua Hin?...

Powermap GPS for sale
Powermap large screen Sat Nav for sale. Its pretty much brand new - actually i have only used it for one single trip to Bangkok. I am in the process of buying a Pajero Sport and will have Sat Nav built in to the dash, so I dont need my Powermap which is a shame, as its a great piece of kit. It cost ...

Re: Advice on Hua Hin nightlife
The best option for Hua Hin nightlife would be the bus station. Just hop on any bus that goes to Bangkok and when you arrive at Sai Tai Mai simply hail a cab and got to Nana or Soi Cowboy.

Re: Maid needed
We have just been through the painful task of finding a maid who understands that being maid includes duties such as cleaning, and not watching TV, spending hours on the phone. After about 2/3 months of searching, gone through about 6/8 maids, we have finally found a good maid..... In the end we we...

Buying furniture near Burmese border?
Hello. Apparently just a couple of hours from here around the Burmese border you can buy rubber wood furniture at great prices? I am after a dining table, TV stand/cabinet and coffee table. Will the prices for these three things be a heck of a lot cheaper than buying them in Hua Hin? If I could find...
