bahtandsold, I have tried to make constructive comments and posts on this thread, but your comparison of your various business ventures to this concept of a beach walkway really doesn't hold any water for me. Simply put, the 'somewhat' parallel theme were concepts deemed 'not needed', 'impossible',...

B&S I have walked the beach both ways when I have been there and enjoy that walk much more that I would with a boardwalk. This is also my humble opinion HUa Hin has a wonderfull beach which we can make better, unique and special. And this would also raise up the value of adjacent Beach Front Pr...

 That's very rude B&S! You set up a poll to guage peoples opinions, then slag them off if they don't like or see flaws in your idea. Were you one of these spoil t children that always got there own way or may be you still are? Not slagging off people or their votes, merely commenting on s...

As i said earlier, I am not opposed to the idea but rather that I think the idea if it became reality would quickly become something far removed from the concept. The potential plus points are: 1. A safe and pleasant walkway (and possibly cycle way) along the coastline for several kilometres. 2. If...

Not hot at all, just in awe at the complete lack of inspiration hereabouts... Btw, good points but the promenade wouldn't be on anyones property, rather placed where the sand meets the edge of property lines, usually between Hilton and Takiab, this means below a slight incline, at the top of the bea...

Ok, let's try that again, this time, with visuals (note to self - NEVER invoke the term 'boardwalk' again, unless referring to a timeless Drifters classic;) Now, in the photo below, one can see the West End of Vancouver looking west, from Granville Island area and if you note the board, er, P...

The nays and 'impossibles' have it then... a predictable herd mentality 'not in my backyard' moo-fest and very little out of the square forward visioning :P Many only see today, or in many cases the day they moved here, not the real pristine Hua Hin beach that was here before many of you arrived (or...

No. I've always said that if the town transforms to that kind of scenario, it's time I moved on. No, no no. Perhaps should have made this a vote option: 'Leave our Hua Hin the way it is' (well, the way it was - before the missus and I moved here, and our neighbours, and...) bahtand sold's re...

Re: NEW Beach-Boardwalk for Hua Hin?

I have voted no, because although the idea is nice, the reality would not be; not the cost or the upkeep, but the practicalities of how it would be. No motorbikes for example just would not happen - the police can't or won't make motorcycles even drive on the correct side of the road so the boardwa...

NEW Beach-Boardwalk for Hua Hin!

As a frequent visitor (and former resident, circa '97) I unabashedly love Hua Hin - I still, as then, suffer the few Hua Hin whingers I encounter with a polite shake of the head and a bemused smile, for the most part. Despite some 'warts' (mostly brought on by some unscrupulous Estate Agents, Develo...

first of all.. it's called "Style" Club, not "Spy"... Lobby Floor and Karaoke Floor have no problems at all, nothing damaged there, only at the Style Club, which was anyway renovating!!! Style Club was closed for 1 week, they're doing everything new there, in my opinion they did...

Hin Naam Sai Suay Fire, all ok

Was by there just as they were putting out the fire earlier today - Thai fired dept looked like they did a great quick job. Apparently no one hurt, thankfully. Spy club (below the lobby and entrance) looked like the starter as it was gutted. In the lobby itself, alot of water from hoses but no fire ...
