Is it a bad time of year for mosquitos. We came in January and did not get bitten, we are returning at the end of this month and as they usually feast on me just want to make sure I pack enough repellant.

Is it possible to walk along the beach all the way to Kao takiab from Hua Hin?

Which seafront restaurants are recommended. And can anyone advise us of the best fish and seafood to order.

Unfortunately we will miss Sonkran as we fly out on 27 April. Maybe next year it looks good fun. Sleazy bars and Karaoke sound good though!! We will be in Thailand for the Royal wedding in Uk so wont have to watch constant TV coverage! YAY! Getting a bit fed up hearing about it and its still 5 weeks...

January 2011!! Came to meet our backpacker daughter in Thailand and treated her to 6 nights at Sofitel Villas!!
Loved it so much we are returning in April to stay at newly built Cape Nidhra.

As long as we get some sunshine we will be happy!
Plenty more to do in Hua Hin than just sunbathe anyway ))

Married couple in forties. Returning to Hua Hin as last time we felt we didnt have enough time to explore but really loved it.
Any recommendations for bars, restaurants, places to see?
Also will weather still be good at end of April? We last came in January and it was gorgeous.

They have good intro rates on website if booked by end of March. So weve risked it and booked for end of April. Cant see the rates being that low in the future so might as well try it while its cheap. Location looks good.

Has anyone stayed at the Cape Nidhra yet. If so what are the rooms like?
