Re: Ask Dr Michael
I'm 99% certain I have Parkinson's disease. I match most if not all of the symptoms listed on the internet. My father also had Parkinson's and although the jury seems to be on whether the disease is hereditary it seems more likely than not in my case. I am 73 years old, born in the UK, but after hav...

Re: Ask Dr Michael
The worrying thing is the fluid beneath the surface. This can impair healing even if it not infected (puss) fluid. I would ask whether this fluid could be aspirated and sent for culture. These DEEP wounds caused by traffic accidents are very difficult--who knows what road dirt is in there, even the...

Re: Ask Dr Michael
He is part of the internal medicine team (Main Man, I think). The thing which IMHO sets Petcharat aside from Hua Hin hospitals is that they check things thoroughly, rather than look and guess. They use their labs extensively to confirm/dismiss their thoughts. Just turn up (8:30 til 4) Monday to Thu...

Re: Ask Dr Michael
easyas, obviously I'm no medical expert, but I've found (and am still finding) Dr Sophon at Petcharat Hospital to be excellent for this kind of wound. I actually ended up with Dr Sophon because of mis-diagnosis at Bangkok Hospital. A quick consultation is not expensive, and could save a lot of grie...

Re: Ask Dr Michael
Dr Michael, My Thai lady friend had a motorbike accident approximately 3 weeks ago, resulting in several deep cuts to her left leg (she said she was forced off her bike by a drunk farang motorbike rider weaving all over the road. He didn't stop!). The Police took her to HH Hospital and the hospital ...

Re: Thais deeper in debt due to gov't policies
The Thais are deeper in debt because they spend like drunken sailors and have little regard for tomorrow or its consequences. They have a cargo cult mentality by and large and are surrounded by lots of avaricious others who are only too happy to happy to foster their desires which are daily spelled...

Re: Does anyone know a quality dentist with car parking?
I agree, she's a really nice dentist, and I will certainly be using her again in the future. BTW........the noodle shop you refer to..............is that the little place on the right as you head up soi 6? Hi Takiab, Yes, that's right - fabulous food, good coffee, dirt cheap! They're on Tr...

Re: Does anyone know a quality dentist with car parking?
I recommend the Smile Clinic on Petchkasem at Soi 6. Very capable dentist and clean clinic. She worked wonders for me. You can park your car just outside the clinic. Closed until about the 17th! Too bad. She is really good. Not a good time for him to have tooth ache. Thanks for the tip Lung P...

Re: Optical in HH
Sorry to hear about your story easyas, but the reaction you got is not unheard of here. The technician probably screwed up somehow and if there is anything Thais are bad at it's accepting a little loss of face when necessary. That's why you got the "moment please" from everyone in the sho...

Re: Optical in HH
Sorry to hear you had that experience, easyas. I was last there about a year ago in exactly the same situation as you and the lenses were fitted into new frames within an hour. They're still going strong. I've also used them for minor repairs without even being charged. I assume you were at the sam...

Agree with Barry about Top Charoen and the outlet I always use is on the corner of Naebkhahars Road and Chomsin. Grid C3 http://www.huahinafterdark.com/hua-hin-map.htm on the northwest corner. Went to the Top Charoen store referred to above (at least I think I did, it's one block south of Chomsin R...
