Re: The Floods of 2011
Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere. Earlier in the week I had to drive to the international airport to meet someone. Traffic and roads ok all the way there (no toll charges) but finding a car park at the airport was a nightmare. Car parks were full with 'refugee' cars avoiding the floods,...

Re: Train hit car at Soi 94 today
I don't trust anything mechanical in this country - I slow down at gated crossings when they're open and still look out for any trains. There's a small barrier crossing at Kao Takiab which last week I crossed while they were down - they were not working and seemed to have been down for some time. I ...

Re: Guitar Lessons
Hey Bozz, what sort of guitar you got? I have a cheepo Fender Squire and recently bought a black Godin SD22. I only have a little box amp but I've a Line 6 convert that allows me to get effects through my computer which in turn connects to box amp or home theatre AV amp etc.

Jpsmith, learning to play electric guitar is on my bucket list (along with learning to play golf, and dating supermodels). I've been 'playing' (and I use the term loosely) with a few guys here in Singapore for about a year - if you're ever interested in hooking up to jam sometime - I can make some b...
