Re: UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC 2015

My son is over here this week and wants to buy a Hua Hin City shirt to take back to the UK for is 9 year old son.
Have searched a few places in Hua Hin without luck.
Anybody any ideas where such a shirt may be purchased.
Cheers

Re: PM seeks approval to lift Martial Law

Reference the Guardian article the following line made me chuckle:
Prayuth’s military detained the subversive snackers for “eating sandwiches with political intent”.

Re: GBP vs THB

Is there anybody out there who understands the currency markets and why the Thai Baht is so strong. I have just read the article linked below and all I read is the Thai economy is struggling. Well it maybe but it isn't against the GBP when all I read is how well the UK market is doing. I need to tra...

Re: Hotel near Suvarnabhumi

I have stayed at the following hotel a few times but not in the last 2 years.
It was clean and cheap and has transportation to and from the airport.

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

It's gone even further, Richard. Apart from banning chairs on Phuket beaches, it's been announced today at a press conference that you are now not allowed to smoke or eat on Phuket's beaches!! This is getting really silly and shows the world just what numbskulls are in charge here. So right what ev...

Re: Imperial Lake View

I agree with expat71NL.
I played the course yesterday (CD) and it was in excellent condition especially the tees strangely.
Admittedly we played early but to say things like " I didn't want to ruin my clubs" is quite frankly a ridiculous statement.

Re: Prachuab officials to reorganize Hua Hin beach

Hua Hin beach is a disgrace as far as litter and general rubbish is concerned. At least it was 3 weeks ago unless they have cleaned it in the meantime. Labour is relatively cheap so to clear it up would not be expensive. It is beyond me that they have a beautiful beach but just let it go to ruin. Ma...

Re: Tourist Slump Continues

I think we can see the real situation with our own eyes. This past 6 weeks is the quietest I have known Hua Hin and Cha Am and while the restaurants have a few customers the bars are generally filled with local farangs. Maybe it will pick up in November and December but even so I still don't think i...

Re: Tourist Slump Continues

I had to book a quick flight back to the UK returning near Christmas so had to expect to pay a higher than normal price.

EVA 38000 baht
THAI 56000 baht.

Not sure if Thai Airways are getting the message are they!

Thailand tourism situation

According to the Bangkok Post the slump continues.

Link : http://bangkokpost.com/most-recent/432538

From what I see with my own eyes in Hua Hin and Cha Am I think the figures are worse than stated. Still I suspect more figures will emerge soon showing a growth in tourism.

Re: Cha Am or Hua Hin Golf

Kaeng Krachan is a very good 27 hole course but again its a little way from Cha Am. They have sports days on Mondays and Fridays at 600 baht green fee plus caddy which I think from memory was 300 baht. You must play the Nicklaus 9 which is a fabulous lay out. Another course worth considering is Sawa...
