I know all about caution, etc. My question however has not been answered. I would like to know approximately how often snake bites occur in the Hua Hin area. Are we talking about 1 a year or 1 a month or what?

Snake Bites

I have seen quite a lot of posts about people seeing snakes in their gardens here in Hua Hin. I have never heard any7 stories about someone being actually bitten by a snake. Does this often happen?

Thanks for your comments. I have managed to get hold of a copy of "Thai for beginners" along with the accompanying CD's. I'll try to get through this in the coming weeks.

How long needed to learn to speak basic Thai

Can anyone give me an idea how long it will take to learn to speak basic Thai? I have been in Thailand many times and am aware that I can live there comfotably without learning to speak Thai. However I know that I will feel a lot more comfortable if I can understand what people around me are saying....
