Re: Hundreds of foreigners/teachers arrested in nationwide operation X-Ray Outlaw Foreigner
I read a very interesting article in the Bangkok post where somebody speculated why 'Big Joke' may have been removed. Could he have 'facilitated' the visit by foreign embassey staff to the police station where K.Thanathorn was being read the farcical charges against him? Seems like an astute observa...

Re: British tourists in nasty brawl minutes after seeing in the New Year at Hua Hin
Ah...the Brits abroad...pathetic.
Says a lot about a drinking/football hooligan culture.....one of the reasons I left the country in the first place.
I'm looking forward to the world cup, to see the Russians give them a damn good pasting again!

Re: Chinese tourists (and their habits) surge into Thailand
The Chinese tourists shouldn't be allowed near any wildlife - they have absolutely no idea how to conduct themselves and don't follow rules. Can I back this up with evidence? Yes. We visited a national park in Nepal a few years ago. There was a bunch of Chinese tourists staying - much to the disgus...

Re: Education reforms as elusive as ever in Thailand
As an overview......This is the result of 80 years of essentially military rule.
A population let down by the baboons in charge.
As I have said before, an Army is for the defense of a country....DEFINITELY NOT for running it.
Good luck people!

Re: Thailand tumbles in International Student Assessments
[There's a cavernous gap between 'Great Britain' and 'Thailand'.......the word 'Great'....which under present/past circumstances, Thailand will NEVER be. Let's not get carried away here. The 'Great' in Great Britain refers to its size by comparison with the small one in France (Brittany), not to an...

Re: Thailand tumbles in International Student Assessments
Thailand has a problem with it's government system not just educational system Agreed...For the past 80 years the army has continually stifled progress within the country. A couple of years of real government, then a takeover by an institution that should be reserved for defence. Start/stop....star...

Re: Thailand Constitutional Referendum
There is also the small point that a rejection of the draft constitution would have prolonged the delay to an election by at least a year whilst another draft was prepared so some voters might have considered it better to move forwards towards an election in any form rather than stand still. 'Nail ...

Re: Foreign pedestrian killed in road accident outside market village
On demand pedestrian crossing lights would be good.......but would need a fulltime policeman or 2 on either side of the crossing to enforce the morons to stop.
