Re: The Rugby Thread

(Pollock I don't believe will make the Match Day Squad) Not a starter perhaps, but I'll be very surprised if he's not on the bench. He does give options in the Backrow and it's interesting to see him selected at Blindside for the Waratahs match: - British and Irish Lions: 15 Hugo Keenan, 14 Mack Ha...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Very tough on Daley, but I don't fully understand why Farrell is being called in - he's been out for much of the season through injury, at this time they don't need cover at 10 or 12 and he's no FB. Anywho, onto this weekend and the masses of rugby on as the "Summer Tours" also begin..... ...

Re: 2025 F1 News and Prediction League

This weekend takes us to Silverstone and the British GP :thumb: Of course biased, but this is a hell of a track and one of the fastest on the F1 circuit. It's high speed corners also make it tough on tyres, though lower temperatures forecast for this weekend may help. Also a chance of showers during...

Re: Why Do Expats Remain - Why Do They Come Back?

Well, as I and others have mentioned, the UK has gone to the dogs,.... Considering the amount of times you've told us that, I think I'll take notice and head back to Hua Hin again next week! Apologies, but it's a case of sad but true at the moment. As I have also said, I am hopeful that things can ...

Re: Why Do Expats Remain - Why Do They Come Back?

Well, as I and others have mentioned, the UK has gone to the dogs, but I remain positive in the hopes that Labour will finally be kicked out of Wales and their time in Westminster will be short lived. They have screwed Wales over for 25 years and doing the same from Westminster within their 1st year...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Well, it was a thumping win for the Lions at the end of the day (12 vs 52) and some great individual performances, but issues still remain. Far too many handling errors especially in the first half, some cheap penalties given away (3 alone by Will Stuart) and some poor defending - a couple of absolu...

Re: Why Do Expats Remain - Why Do They Come Back?

Well, as far as the UK, the demographic is certainly changing and current Labour are doing F' All to change things aside to make the issue(s) far, far worse. And they're not alone - Christ, watching the news this morning, hundreds upon hundreds of Illegal Immigrants setting off to UK shores with ZER...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Wales have now lost half of their Lions contingent through injury, that's really bad luck. (Sorry, Pietro, couldn't resist!)  Oh I'm sure you are you barsteward! :tsk: :butt: The saddest thing this tour, is that Wales may lose probably the longest standing record in Lions' (if not ...

Re: The Rugby Thread

"Tour-ending" injury perhaps? Yes, would be a shame. Recently confirmed that Tomos Williams will play no further part and has already left the tour party. Truly gutted for him. Scotland's Ben White flown in from New Zealand where Scotland have just arrived on tour. Anywho, the show goes o...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Well, it was a big win for the British and Irish Lions at the end of the day, but the Lions are far from "Clicking". Silly penalty count against them in the first 10-20 minutes, loose play and collecting the ball at the re-start was a joke! They were lucky not to have conceded more than a ...

Re: 2025 F1 News and Prediction League

Great race today, probably the best of the season so far. There was only one real battle for the lead, and that was between the McLaren teammates, Very exciting and good on the team letting them fight it out. The other highlight for me was Verstappen being shunted off in the first lap. Karma. Could...
