Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

^ I've watched and enjoyed both series of the "Tulsa King" - suits Stallone very well IMHO. "SAS Rogue Heroes" and "Landman" are both superb - truly looking forward to more from both, though apparently we're in for a wait. The 2nd Season of "Silo" was also ver...

Re: Astronomy, cosmology and space thread

Some quite incredible photo's (at link(s)) and things to look forward to in 2026 for this mission that is far from over - well, hardly begun! Also incredible, is the science behind actually getting the craft there - "It needed to make nine flybys of Earth, Venus and Mercury before it could reac...

Re: Photo Trip Report: Camping Thailand's Northwest

^I've never seen a porcupine outside of a zoo, or a TV nature documentary. I've spent quite a bit of time in Issan but never saw one there, the locals had probably eaten them all! Perhaps I exaggerated somewhat...Saw many in Africa and saw a fair few working in the US (the latter in truly out of th...

Re: Photo Trip Report: Camping Thailand's Northwest

You learn something everyday, I never knew that porcupines were native to Thailand! Saw them for a pastime growing up in Africa and many whilst working in various corners of the US - never got to see them in China, just overpopulated, concreted or polluted where I had to work or live unfortunately!...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Back to European Rugby this weekend with masses on! :thumb: Far too many to mention, but I'll certainly be watching Gloucester taking on Scarlets on Friday night - a match I would have been attending with my "Shed Head" pal "pooley" , but my friends at the NHS have the claws into...

Re: Astronomy, cosmology and space thread

Hi, just checked my post and very grateful for replies. My Chiang Mai trip is 3 weeks away. In answer to your question PHHarvey, I'm interested in planets, nebula and anything where you can actually see something. Dots of light don't really do it! I want to find a mid price digital telescope that c...
