Re: IMHO Yamsaard school

Studyladders fantastic! Thanks for that Pete  We've just spent about an hour on it after signing up for restricted usage for a while. I'll definitely sign up for membership eventually. I like the breadth of subjects that it covers. I've been looking for science and music support for some tim...

Re: IMHO Yamsaard school

To Nanyang:  Thanks for that! I had a look at the website and may well use it in the future if I need to. Nice to hear that your 7 year old daughter is doing well. Just goes to show that a little bit of effort put in when they're young enough goes a long way! To dtaai-maai: Thanks mate! Nice...

Re: IMHO Yamsaard school

I have to say that there were many reasons for us not continuing at Yamsaard School and it wasn't just a case of crap school management. As usual, it was my 5 year old kid's idea first. She brought it up rather sensibly over the holidays saying that she didn't really want to go back there because of...

Re: IMHO Yamsaard school

Sorry to hear that things are getting steadily worse at a school which, could be a good school. After two years, I took my kid out of there and now we homeschool. It's not ideal for everyone, but we have alot of time on our hands and it's working well for now.

Floodlit 5 a side football pitch

A new 5 aside football pitch has just been made and is open for use. It is turfed and looks quite spectacular. I briefly spoke to the Thai chaps who own it last night and they are keen to get in contact with football teams or prospective users. They are asking for 600-700bt per hour. It's location i...

Re: somtawin must pay annual?

Just to keep on subject. Yamsaard School seems to have also changed it's policy of allowing customers to pay in 3 installments. The last slip I got only allowed for 2 installments. 1st Term and 2nd Term. 45,000 per term. Yamsaard School piloted Young Learners Cambridge English Language for Speakers ...

Re: somtawin must pay annual?

I prefer Yamsaard because it is happy with it's "bilinguality" and does not pretend to be an international school. How can anyone call Somtawin an international school with such a lack of resources and native English speaking teachers?.. It's a joke! I too am a big critic of Yamsaard but I...

Re: somtawin must pay annual?

EDork. Without being rude, my guess is that you have never been to Yamsaard School Hua Hin. At Kindergarten level (K1-3) At Yamsaard School, kids have a native English speaking teacher teaching them all morning. In the afternoon they have a Thai teacher teaching them Thai. From conversations I have ...

This is the website where it is Richard. Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated to show the rink yet but if you contact them you will find it's there. :)

I'd be prepared to give you the precise location in about a weeks time when I see him again. May I ask, the reason for your rather suspicious curiosity?

Re: Kao PiTak Municipality School

My wife's son goes there and has been there since kinder1. He's now in P3. He likes it but if it were up to me, I would have changed him to Salesian School. Main reason being that they offer a better English program there with native speakers for about 10,000bt extra on top of the 4,000bt annual sch...

Synthetic Ice Rink - would be great for Hua Hin!

For anyone looking for a great business idea, this has got to be a winner! A friend of mine has set one up in Nakhon Ratchasima and it is doing so well that he's also setting up a synthetic ski run. Here's a link just to give you an idea of prices etc. I don't have pots of money myself but I bet a f...
