When I was last in Pattaya the Sophon cable was excellent. It had the South African Supersport which had ALL the football (even lower league stuff) one day and test cricket, boxing etc. and a live feed to sky sports news when off the air. Basically all of the other channels paled into insignificance...

I would seriously suggest that your wife doesn't consider driving in Thailand. The roads in Thailand are deadly even for experienced Thai drivers, let alone ones from Europe. If your chair can be packed away then I'd suggest a taxi or minivan. Theres a couple of addresses which may be useful to you ...

no go go's in Hua Hin i am afraid nearest one is in Cha am so i am told The Chicken Coop in Cha Am is NOT worth a visit! I went there recently whilst seeing mates in Cha Am and it is NOT a pretty sight. It was full of some of the fattest roughest women I've ever seen ANYWHERE! A total contrast to t...

I agree that there may be 2 sides to some stories but at the end of the day you do not grass up fellow expats FOR ANY REASON. That is breaking the unwritten code of what makes being an expat in Thailand such a special honour. If you have a gripe then take it outside and settle it that way like a man...

It seems as though you can't trust anyone anymore.
I have just been told from a freind in Cha Am that another expat there was arrested and deported after being grassed up by another expat for running a small business without a work permit. I am also aware of this kind of thing happening in Pattaya and Phuket in increasing frequency over the past cou...

Very good point about the King but is there actually any legislation against mass development in HH or have the local people simply managed to hold it at bay? I first went to Karon and Jomthien 20 and 22 years ago respectively and the amount they have rocketed up in the meantime is nothing short of ...

I'd just booked my room in HH for 3 weeks in Sept and wanted to do some research on the entertainment scene as well as see what had changed in the long interval since my last visit and hey presto I found this forum. In the past I have found these expat forums not only an invaluable source of informa...
