Re: Problems for Apple and iPhone...?
A lot of people go on about the bending iPhone and complain. But surely should Apple take the credit for developing bending glass?

Re: ATM free of fees in Hua Hin?
Not sure which country you're from. But when I travel from UK I use the Halifax One credit card, you get the inter bank exchange rate and no charges for withdrawing cash and I was not charged a fee when I used it in Hua Hin in April this year

Re: Hua Hin top 10 restaurants
Coco 51 is one of the tops but the Black Mountain restaurant on Nares Damri Alley just up the road from the Hilton on the other side would be my choice. I was there in April and from the moment you enter to when you leave is excellent. Not cheap. I've tried to enter it on Tripadvisor but it does not...

Re: App for free ringtone download
Not sure if it's available for android phones but I use RTWizard pro on my iPhone. It allows you to make your own from any music you have. You can make it from any part of the music such as a riff or chorus.

Re: Recommendations for 3 best golf courses
I've played Banyan many times, the only time your feet are level with the ball is on tees. Very frustrating but a tough course. Only played Black Mountain once but was impressed. Take your choice of the others but you must play Banyan and Black Mountain..

Re: Thailand's deadliest accidents
Not a Thai disaster but linked to Thailand. A manager of mine, we both work for an Indian Steel company, was caught up at the airport when taken over by protesters in 2008. Stranded in Bangkok he missed his plane to Mumbai and his car to the companies hotel In Mumbai which was over run by gunmen. Yo...

Re: Getting from Bangkok to Hua Hin by Mini Van
I done the reverse trip once. I'm a bit of a crazy driver my self so some of the stunts didn't bother me. All the luggage stacked up to the roof was a concern. In the event of real heavy braking situations any body near the back would suffer head or neck injuries from the flying luggage. The VIP bus...

Re: Restaurant News
Not sure if I'm allowed to do this on this thread, if not where can I? Been to Black Mountain Restaurant in town tonight and had one of the best meals I've ever had. Not cheap but great value for the money. Service and food first class. Not yet on trip advisor but trying to set up a review for it, a...

Today I was waiting in a queue on the way to Takiab . Crossing lights flashing barriers down and no end of bikes weaving across crossing. Disaster waiting to happen

Went there today with a relative who lives locally who didnt know about the entrance fee. There are many ways of getting the fee back by buying or using things, but nothing of great interest for the western visitor but i dont think we are the intended target.

Re: car wash/valet
As a visitor to Hua Hin every year I've taken cars to be cleaned at a place after the fly over going out of town. It's on the left hand side as you head out of town between Soi 114 and 116. Always done a great job inside and out side. Not sure about engine clean though. It's next to a large place th...

Re: 100 Days of Heavy Snow
On Sunday of this week the weather forecast was for mild temps during the week 10C. It's been freezing. Only yesterday (Wed) it only got up to two degrees C. So bring on that for cast for snow and we should be sun bathing given the accuracy of the so called weather men!

Re: Are Mini-Vans Safe?
I've only used the MVs once just for the experience, and to save a few bob when travelling on my own. I found the trip ok. The van was full and I was at the back hoping the cases stacked at the back wouldn't take my head off if an emergency stop occurred. Too fast? Not this one, but there again when...
