Re: New Spanish Inquisition for Expats.
I agree easyas, I was not going to do that anyway, however I thought it would be good to spread the word around the expats who may have interests in Spain. It seems there is now a movement to counter this from expats there, its the sort of thing that could happen in Thailand also. It is as if its a ...

New Spanish Inquisition for Expats.
Hi, This maybe of interest to some of the forum members. It certainly would be if you, like me, are resident in Spain and having property or assets in Thailand. There has been a new tax introduced recently for anyone having 'residencia', for tax purposes, who has assets outside of Spain amounting to...

Hi All,
Travelling to Isaan in May and wanting to know of any cheap accommodation in or near to Prasat, Surin district. We have stayed before at Thongpaeka Hotel, which wasnt bad and a small place called Lelewadee Resort, that I believe is no longer there. Anyone have a new ideas.
Cheers GN.

Thanks Buksida, will ignore any further emails from this site. Not sure how they got y details, ust be they just latch on, and hope I go ahead and pay for the service. Normally, as you know listing a property even with an agent is free but only subject to commission on sale.
Thanks Again GN.

Hello, Have had an ad on the free Hua Hin Classifieds website for about 2 weeks now, listing my property in Hua Hin for sale. Re: Hua Hin Police Traffic Stops
Hi, Does anyone know if the international driving permit also covers for motor bikes?
Since I've had my IDP, I have not been stopped, but even when I had my Spanish licence with me, and the 'officer' said it should be in Thai or English, he just waved me to go. GN.

Re: POLL: Have You Suffered Food Poisoning in Thailand?
I have answered 'Yes, several times'..But I will admit that there is a difference between a bit of iffy guts, and full blown or confirmed poisoning. I could say I am bit of an expert on this. I have been in hospital 3 times, but only once in Thailand. That being Gastro-entoritus, having to spend 9 h...

Good point Chopsticks, not really thought of that, but you would think it could happen and become a matter to have to deal with. GN

Re: Are ceiling fans effective ?
Thanks BB for the very important advice about Big Kiang, I was afraid of that myself. However in the past I lived and worked in Spain for two years, and one of the jobs I was doing included installing ceiling fans, but that was to put in place to an existing light fitting, but also the ceilings ther...

Re: Urgent Answer Please!. Resort owners committees.
Thanks Takiap, Thats what some of us have been saying, however we want to be sure we are not taking on a problem and also have to deal with immigration officials. But yes, if its the norm and we plan correctly than should be ok, but we have lots of residents who believe to the contrary, and that the...
