That's how I hope to end up! - In the cold UK now, Hoping to be in Thailand for Christmas but will probably have to go to Pattaya to Visit my Son who is on a 4 month Diving internship. We would li...

It's funny in the UK I have no time for the pathetic excuse that we call a royal family. I also hate all the religions. When in LOS - I feel genuinely pleased with the respect they show their royal family and I also feel very humble when visiting Wats. I am also fascinated by the spirit houses and c...

I agree that there may be 2 sides to some stories but at the end of the day you do not grass up fellow expats FOR ANY REASON. That is breaking the unwritten code of what makes being an expat in Thailand such a special honour. If you have a gripe then take it outside and settle it that way like a ma...

My only disappointment, found a taxi driver whose driving I liked and booked him for the airport journey (1500 Bht) but he turned up with a friend in a very nice Merc to take us instead. This guy was the worst driver EVER! I was convinced that we wouldn't get there at all, we weren't in a hurry but...

I suppose I should offer apologies for my post, maybe I gave my view a bit to passionately. However I believe the catholic church have consistently failed to address two key areas and because of that I find it hard to take it seriously. One, priests who abuse children and are protected by the church...

Thailand does not need the catholic church, imagine the Thais all running around feeling guilty for everything - oh and how much more rampant would AIDS be as the stupid pope still refuses to wake up in the real world. Face it the catholic church is just a meeting place for kiddy fiddlers and those ...

No actually, I used to live in Dartmouth but have steadily moved closer to Somerset without actually crossing the border. If I have to live in England, Devon is it. If I can get remote working and a decent internet connection sorted out I will be in Thailand before the year is out, hopefully to stay...

Hey acerockolla, I see that you're residing in God's country. Which part of Devon are you from? We don't get that many Janners on here. It's not god's country it's Poland by the Sea! It once was but It and England as a whole really are going downhill fast. And I'm sorry to offend you but my heart l...

As my post stated this travel agent was in Manila (the Philippines) - We were having a mini asian tour and were head quartered in Manila and booking through her (much cheaper than doing it in the UK!) And so I knew nothing about Pattaya, it was my first visit to Thailand (the second was two weeks ag...
