My question is, is there an embassy...

Re: More crime in Hua Hin

I've never seen a house stripped of everything as described above so I would guess it is quite a rare occurrence. There are many beautiful houses here in Dolphin Bay that are unoccupied for most of the year and they remain untouched, a few employ a maid to live onsite but many are totally empty.

5 million for a 2 bed with 400m2 land, not too bad considering you're only 300m from the beach.

The beach here at Dolphin Bay is full of Thais every weekend with no ill effects, can't say I have heard of any problems.

If you go to look at Index you should take a look at Beautiful World, about 200m North of Index. Great selection on wooden furniture and excellent service.

Re: Wheelchair-friendly terrain/accomodation

I would also recommend taking a look a little further out, Dolphin Bay is flat with a 6km long beach and very little traffic. Ground floor accommodation is easily available and there is a good choice of restaurants. Also regular mini bus shuttles.

Re: Property in Hua Hin

Interesting read, think there are valid points on both sides of the argument. I think if there is one rule that holds true in any country when buying property it is "Location, location, location", if you want to buy and you would like to think that the value of your property will rise then...

Terrible terrible news. Echo everything that has been said by SJ, JW and others, really warm and friendly guy, never heard him say a bad word about anyone.

R.I.P. Steve, it was great to know you.

Re: Springfield 25 Year Family membership

It was originally a 30 year membership when it was issued.

If you wanted to sell it on in 5 years it will probably still be worth at least this price.
