Re: Statistics about Hua Hin property market?

If it is mainly an investment but with the added benefit of personal usage you could look further afield. Resort property with rental income is about THB 40,000 m2 down here in Dolphin Bay, property prices are also rising down here as it is becoming very popular with Bangkok Thais and land prices ha...

Re: The Sheraton: how far to hua hin centre?

Large beers at the bars mentioned are 80-140 THB depending on brand so considerably cheaper than the town centre.

Re: The Sheraton: how far to hua hin centre?

Not sure what kind of places you like but if you are happy to mix with the locals then places like Get Idea, Giant, (both opposite soi 6), and Music Room are within motor bike range, good food, reasonably priced drink and good atmosphere. There is also a very good Isaan restaurant on the other side ...

Can't get Fusion over here BB, I always look on the off chance but never seen them. I go to the UK once a year and bring my supplies back with me.

Re: beaches near Hua Hin

The stretch of coast from Pak Nam Pran down to Ban Bo Nok near Kui Buri is a fabulous area and has an addictiveness about it. Hundreds of good places to eat either overlooking the mountains or the sea, mostly cheap prices and smiling locals. I love going into HH once or twice a week but I am delight...

Re: Agents' motivation against selling pre-owned property

"The agents working in the West generally have formal training and work within a regulated industry and normally the various companies have a code of conduct." Doesn't make them any different though, human nature means people will usually look for the best deal for themselves instead of th...

Re: Which is the Best Area In Hua Hin to Settle?

I bought a house on SJ's first development and sold three years later, no complaints, I personally think 90% of builders/developers are honest but the 10% give them all a bad name. Hear what your saying about living on a project Takiap but there are also people that will help you out when you need i...

Re: Agents' motivation against selling pre-owned property

Clearly a high level of dissatisfaction here with the local agents but does it also work the other way? Do agents show clients a property and then the two parties get together to exclude the agent? Those of you selling, if a buyer appeared and said they had seen your house in the window of an agent ...

Re: Hello, can you recommend a decent local for teachers?

Steve are you only looking to meet up with other teachers? In any case I think you might have to travel a bit to Dolphin Bay, Khao Kalok, Pak Nam Pran area to find a few farangs in a bar.

Re: Golf Memberships

The greens at Majestic are being changed, they are closing nine holes at a time to completely reseed with the same grass used at Black Mountain. B was closed first and are now far better than previously but will need another few months to be perfect, A is currently closed for the same treatment. Tot...

Re: Which is the Best Area In Hua Hin to Settle?

I lived West of the town centre for 4 years, North of the town at soi 6 for 2 years and now 30 mins South at Dolphin Bay for 1 year. My preference is South because you have great beaches and no traffic, excellent choice of restaurants that are considerably cheaper, more Thais and less farangs and an...

Met the owner of Majestic last week, money will not be a problem in the future for someone that owns 4000 acres of land and has ambition to make his course better than any others in Hua Hin!! He is also the owner of The Nation newspaper but is retiring from this and will be focussing on MC from now ...

Don't know if true or not but I was told that both will reopen as refitted bars with better quality rooms upstairs suitable for "guests' rather than 8 staff to one room.
