Re: Car Breakers?

There are a few places on the Pala u Rd on the R going out of town. Just over the small bridge at about 8 km from the centre. There is also one on the R going North on the Klong Rd.

Re: Electric Cars

I know the infrastructure is not yet developed to sell your electricity back to the providers, but it could offset pool pumps, bike charging, fridge/freezers which are all during daylight hours. In my case the pool and fridge are probably the biggest consumers as we use very little air conditioning.

Re: Electric Cars

It was rumoured that there would be an electric PCX available in Thailand this year. If so I certainly would be interested, perhaps linking it to solar panels on the car port.

At Pranbury Makro, the girl just puts a line of 0’s or * and I have never had to get a day card.
Just like the banks and immigration it seems it’s different rules for each branch.

It’s best just to get in the habit of popping down and doing it each time. You don’t have to go to the main room and take a ticket, it’s the first window and one of th...

Can you use your ID card to access the B30 scheme at Hua Hin hospital or do you just pay the full bill?

Re: Affordable Health Insurance For Expats

Looks OK, but it’s based on treatment at Hua Hin hospital. Didn’t B.B. manage to register himself for the B30 scene there using the number from his yellow book or now he has an I’d card that?

If by jumping through a few hoops you can get this for free why would you pay B3000 per month?

Re: Hua Hin police to get tough on motorbike helmets

Slightly off topic, but linked.....I see people, mostly Thais, texting or on their phones while riding scooters. This means they can only operate the front brake if they need to stop urgently. Any bike rider knows that this will only have one consequence...a front wheel skid and crash!
