Re: HD Prime Internet TV ... problem?
Id agree about dumping HDPrime (TV). However it's worth keeping the VOD which is relatively cheap. They hold hundreds of complete series both past and present along with as many movies.

Re: HD Prime Internet TV ... problem?
I'm on a visit in the UK just now and I've literally just watched HDPrime and it's working fine. Maybe because I'm not in Thailand. I'll be here for another couple of months so I hope it's still running when I return.

Re: Hua Hin hospital special medical clinic
This is a post from 2009 which I can relate to. My son had a motorbike accident in 2004 and neither San Paolo or HHH had facilities to help so was ambulanced to Petcharat. I came here in 2000. I wish I could find a picture of what HHH looked like then. This past Sunday, my 76 year old mother suffere...

Re: Hua Hin hospital special medical clinic
Before the current hospital there was a single story relatively small building. That has been completely demolished I believe.
The new hospital played a big part in Petcharat closing down their clinic here.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
The testing done in 3 cities in the states found that after 100,000 miles, there were only 2 accidents and neither was the fault of the driverless car!

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
Some AVs will have a ‘user-in-charge’ (UiC) function. This means they would have functionality to both be driven or to drive itself for some or all of the journey. When such a vehicle is driving itself, the driver is not responsible for how the vehicle drives, though they retain other responsibilit...

'Blame' warning to drivers as self-driving cars made legal on UK roads Self driving cars have been made legal on the UK's roads including motorways after a new law was passed today. The government's Automated Vehicles Act has officially been made law and it means self-driving vehicles could be seen...

Re: A day of shame for Thailand.
Thailand is the only constitutional monarchy to have strengthened its lèse-majesté law since World War II. With penalties ranging from three to fifteen years imprisonment for each count, it has been described as the "world's harshest lèse majesté law" and "possibly the strictest crim...

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?
I have witnessed occasionally riders falling off their bikes for no apparent reason. Maybe losing control or more likely paying attention to their phone in their handle bar holder.

Re: Renewing a UK passport in Thailand
I've had this problem before. I'm with Bangkok Bank and their cards (I think all Thai bank cards) are red flagged. I've had to use a UK card in the past. I've helped others who have only got Thai bank cards.

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?
Not directly linked to deaths but I've been back in the UK for the first time in over 20 years and one thing I've noticed, in fact glaringly obvious, is that queues of traffic whether at a stop sign, traffic lights or just a traffic jam is that there is almost a car's length between each vehicle in ...

Re: Thailand to introduce compulsory travel insurance/tourist tax
From what I remember and read, the 500 baht machines closed down in 2007. The tax was increased to 700 baht and the airlines were made responsible for it's collection and for onward payment to the AoT.
