Re: Perforated Drainage Pipes
Many years ago I installed 'French drains' in my lawns using slotted blue pvc pipe, which I bought from a builders yard in HH. I used the blue horticultural netting to wrap the pipes in and I have not had any problems since I did this and that is 13 years ago.

Re: Is Pest Control A Waste Of Money?
Does anybody have knowledge of what use is the 'smoking' that pest control companies do. Does it kill mosquitoes or just drive them out of the area for a while, as whenever I see photos of areas that have problems with things like 'Dengue etc' they all appear to have photos of 'smoking applications'...

Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Transferwise
Thank you all for your input re the 'Seasoning period'. I will have the money in the bank some 2 weeks prior to the 2 month seasoning period required and will go to HH IMO some 10 days before my renewal is due, just to cover any possible problems.

Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Transferwise
I've just done my 90 days check and I was told by the head of Bluport Immigration in HH that the seasoning required is 2 months prior to the application date, which for me will be the expiry date, so that is what I will be doing.

Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Transferwise
Sorry, I am still confused if I need to have my 800,000 Baht (or the equivalent in foreign currency deposit account) in the bank for 2 or 3 months prior to my application for renewal of stay under retirement conditions. Some people say 2 and others say 3? This will be my 13th renewal at HH immigrati...

Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Transferwise
If you open a 'Foreign Currency Account' say in Sterling then surely there is no need to prove it has come from the UK. I am in two minds as to how to prove that I have the required 800,000 Baht for my next extension due to retirement (in Feb next year). I have renewed this for the past 13 years alw...

Re: Watch Replicas in Hua Hin/Cha-am?
First of all, I would like to say hi to everyone! I am new to this forum and will be new to Hua Hin. I will be there in the summer for a little over 2 month for a term at the Webster University. So I will haul my ass over there from Vienna and at that very willingly, this abnormal weather here is k...

Electric gate 'clutch key'
Please, can anybody tell me where I can buy an electric gate motor 'clutch' key. Mine snapped the other day when we had a power cut. Ideally I would like somewhere in HH or an 'online' source.
