Re: Korean Plane Crash Dec 29, 2024

Like most "accidents", the end result is a sequence of events. It appears that the aircraft suffered a bird strike on approach, supposedly a go around, a change of runway followed by complete confusion by the crew. They may also have been attempting another go around after realizing that t...

I think that you may find it is 113 years since the first train arrived in the Hua Hin station.

What's the story with this imposter Steve? It is a US Navy Seasprite, never operated by the Royal Navy.

Re: Keeping chickens

It may be worth checking with either a pet supply shop, or a farm feed store. There are a couple of pet shops in Hua Hin that may know of a small breeder. Most of the supply of chickens in all forms is under the control of CP ALL. They own hatcheries but use private farms to raise them once they are...

Re: Water heater for bathroom shower

TIT, it is called a 15amp supply, because that is the amperage that the meter is calibrated at. The supply is actually good for 30 amps, and usually the consumer board main switch is 63 amps. The correct size breaker for a water heater is 32 amps. But it then depends on what size breaker, plus the w...

Re: I am seeking advice on our swimming pool, which loses about 8 cm of water daily.

To try and isolate what is happening, fill it up to the correct level and turn off the pump for 24 hours. 24 hours will not be a problem for the water quality. If it still drops then there is a leak underground, which would be very difficult to find. That could be either the structure, or the pipes ...

Re: I am seeking advice on our swimming pool, which loses about 8 cm of water daily.

Yes, need more information; but the first thing to check would be the back flushing valve. It may be simply not in the correct position or just worn and leaking. There are a multitude of "experts" in Hua Hin, but most of them have no idea about how the systems work. Do you service it yours...

Unique prototype cargo plane to be broken up
Interesting history! Appears that the entire tailplane swings open to one side.
Wiki states that it was based on a Bristol Britannia aircraft. If the engines are original, they were early Rolls Royce Tyne design, few of which still exist.
