Beware.. Crime in Hua Hin

Is crime bad in Hua Hin? Am used to it in UK.. was hoping for a quieter "safer" life in Hua Hin!! Or do you just have to be sensible? Many burglaries?? and do you all have House insurance over there or is that just a British mentality "thing"?? :?

Sorry forgot to mention, me and partner buying property, both British, intend living in Hua Hin full time (as far as visas will allow).. Dont know if this makes any difference to any advice you may give?? Cheers.

Hi. Would like a bit of info please. Thinking of coming to live in Hua Hin but am very concerned about my beloved pets (dog and 2 cats). Would obviously be bringing them with me but am concerned about the rabies situation. Also been told that they would have to go into quarantine for at least 30 day...
