Re: Thailand Immigration: TM30 24 hour reporting thread

There are some IO's that are asking for the applicant to report back with their bank book 3 months after getting their extension to prove that they still have 800K in the bank under the new rules. Thankfully, not here in HH. Jomtien (which covers Pattaya.....so in other words a large office) requir...

Re: Thailand Immigration: TM30 24 hour reporting thread

Mr. T.O.M. You don't know mus\ch. Yes I have been a victim of the TM30 report. IN KORAT!!! You should just keep your mouth shut because you don't know much how this rather stupid law has to say in the rest of the Kingdom. The advises you give on the forum are so just as bullshit as yourself - so st...

Re: Thailand Immigration: TM30 24 hour reporting thread

Was at Bluport Immigration today doing 90 day report. Very helpful lady so I asked what the HH policy will be regarding TM30 reporting. She informed me that in future HH will adhere to TM30 regulations, we will have to report within 24 hrs of returning from abroad and also when returning from trips...

Re: Expat Poll: Would you consider leaving Thailand?

^^ Way off topic here, but why don't you move to Cha Am alone? The wife comes down for a week once a month and you could go to Korat once a month over the weekend....that way you will be together at least 10 days per month. Win/win....you will have a better life and your wife will have a happier and...

Re: Expat Poll: Would you consider leaving Thailand?

^^ You make some valid points here.... As for the Thai tinted glasses....they have come off a long time ago.....But for me personally absolutely nothing has changed....Yes immigration has raised the bar.....money both before and AFTER the extension....but since I would have that amount in my account...

Re: Expat Poll: Would you consider leaving Thailand?

Interesting results after 24 hours and far higher than I expected - over 60% have left, are planning to, or would do if things deteriorate here - which is highly probable under the current regime. Only a quarter of respondents are totally happy with their lives in Thailand. From the replies though,...

Re: Payment By QR Code - Why not more popular?

It will be interesting to see what payment methods end up prevailing in Thailand. The QR system is so easy to use. If a vendor wants to accept QR payment all they need to do is post a printout of their Prompt Pay QR code. The customer scans, enters the payment amount and shows the completed transac...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc

^^ Sometimes I get the feeling that some posters actually enjoy making life as difficult as possible for themselves... You are both Thai married....why...for crying out loud...don't you go for an extension based on marriage? 400k in the bank...3 months a year....2 months prior to filing and during t...

There is a couple of drink wholesalers on the Palau Road.....Just after Mon Mai and on the corner with a 7-Eleven...Two big structures on your right hand side coming from HH....can't miss them.
Another wholesaler on soi 45.....200 meters down from Petchkasem on your left..

Re: Chang water in glass bottles

I believe only the wholesalers will accept returns. I made a point of looking in 2 x 7/11's tonight and lo and behold, Chang water and Singha were plain to see in glass bottles. Not sure where you're looking but they are very common. What you saw were probably soda water....The OP was enquiring abo...

From above...: "A bomb alert on Sunday focussing on three parked motorcycles with southern licence plates parked near the train station reignited concerns over the need for improved safety in the town." Paranoia is alive and well....How would 50 million worth of security cameras have preve...

Don Quixote.....Get your ducks in a row, and get an extension based on marriage.
Or is that too simple?
Will make your life so much simpler...
