Re: Living in Palm Hills Golf Course

We lived in Palm Hills for 10 years and I can tell you that 10MM will not get you anything unless you go for the smaller houses at the front, left of the entrance gate but they are pretty old and not very well built. If you want to buy land and build yourself it will cost quite a lot. The lots in P...

Re: Living in Palm Hills Golf Course

There are some properties for sale at Palm Hills at attractive prices. However certain plots are the subject of an investigation by the the Land Office at Cha Am to see whether they are on land that was originally forest land and as such should not have been developed. The implications of which are...

Living in Palm Hills Golf Course

Hi, recently I have seen a lovely property in Palm Hills Golf Course, but it is located near the Airport side, is there anyone live close to the Airport and can give me some advice? Will it be very noisy all the day? Also, anyone has an idea of how much is the land plats there now?

TIA.

Re: Govt crackdown on Airbnb, declares bookings illegal

the reason why airbnb in a condon is illegal because there are more than four owners rent out their units for short terms. If you are renting out a house, even it is in a development/ village, with four rooms under, no hotel license required. Lawyer told me that the four rooms count per deed. howeve...

Note: Residential buildings do not need to apply for a hotel license if there are only four rooms and less than 20 customers. The officer has to be informed thereof, and will go to check the place to classify it

Re: Hua Hin Condo owners fined for short term rentals

Isn't letting a unit/house under four rooms and fewer than 20 guests not require a hotel license?

Re: New House without a pool?

I personally would never consider buying a place with a pool. I have lived in several properties during my life which had pools, and they are just too much hassle. The ones in Thailand are even a bigger hassle because you have to physically brush and vacuum whereas in SA you don't have to. I should...

Re: New House without a pool?

Yes, the pool thing is very personal, if i see a nice house without a pool, that will be a big plus for me. If people are looking for a pool villa to buy, there is huge supply in the market so i dont have any advantage even if i have a pool, as long as i have a big garden with access for the machine...

Re: New House without a pool?

OP doesn't want a pool, or do deal with the added 'silly' cost of one, besides the maintenance. They really do charge silly price for pools here. Have you researched buying land, and contracting to have house build. I've done 2 here, and another in the works soon. So much cheaper, though selling af...

Re: New House without a pool?

Pool maintenance has not been expensive in my experience. Our house was built in 2012 and the pool benefitted from a 10 year warranty. The development management fee covers all pool maintenance, gardening, lighting and cleaning of common areas, security etc. for around 7,000 THB per month. You can ...

Re: Custom Villa projects

Re: New House without a pool?

Hi Mandy, Any of these developments will sell you a place without the pool and give you some discount for it. But, it will be very difficult to resell should you want to in the future, and in a development, once the surrounding properties are built it may be virtually impossible to install a pool l...
