cathay P. But have already checked with them and KL is my best bet... only prob is it lands at 7pm and the train to the leaves at 8pm or a slow train at 10pm. so think i will have a night in KL, only these 2 trains a day (as far as i can work out) then there is a long wait at padang or butterworth b...

Game set and match to the yellow t-shirts! PM has stood down and cargo flights to start to take off again today. The yellow t-shirts are making their way home for a shower and Kelly has her fingers crossed the airport will be fully up and running by the 4th in time for her flight to land!

I have been on hold with cathay pacific in Hong Kong for 1hour and 40 mins and on skype for 30 mins. the phone lines in Thailand are busy and from what I can work out they are not diverting flights from BKK to other airports in Thailand... My travel agent has been told that the airport will reopen on Sat. However my father spoke to some official in high office this morning and he said that it was highly unlikely to reopen before next Thursday!

Basically I don’t think anyone has a clue what is going on…
