Given the pollution, is it safe to eat Hua Hin's shellfish?

Does anyone know about recent tests of pollution levels in the sea around Hua Hin, and whether pollutants make it unwise to eat shellfish which filter the water. Or better yet, has anyone tested the shellfish to see what lies within them? Scallops are in season and they taste real good, but I have t...

I've had really bad experiences at San Paulo, which is over priced, and other times they have been okay. It would never be my first choice for medical care. The Polyclinic is more reasonably priced but some of the doctors there are as old as the hills, incompetent, and should be retired (or buried)....

Where to go for vacuum repair

Vacuum is clogged up because the maid ran it without the bag...

Is there anywhere in HH that repairs vacuums or is there a small appliance repair shop?

I generally go to the top level of the airport and get one for 1500, sometimes with no haggling and sometimes on the second or third try. You definitely don't need to pay more than 1800. Just tell them the normal price is 1500 and that is what you will pay. Tip them at the end of the service is good.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I did search but the HHAD search engine either sucks or I don't know the secret to doing good searches on it. Whenever I run a search it pulls up loads of unrelated threads.

So damn hot... Where to swim in Hua Hin?

Can anyone offer advice on hotels or other places that allow outsiders to pay to use their swimming pool, preferably someplace north of downtown Hua Hin?

Minibus to Prachuap Kirikan?

Can anyone offer advice on locating a public minibus from Hua Hin to Prachuap Kiri Kan? Or, is the public bus a better bet?

I went to the 3rd floor of market village cash in hand... But not much up there in the way of sporting goods, and nothing in the way of kayaks.

Kayak Purchase

I want to buy a kayak, new or used.

There are some old posts suggesting Hua Hin Bike and Kayak but I can't find any such place.

Does any one know where they are located, or an alternative place to get a kayak?

Good photocopy shop that copies and binds copied books

Can anyone suggest a place in HH that photocopies books and binds the copies?

Lots of places copy, with varying degrees of quality, but I have not found one that will bind the copies.

Thanks!!
