Re: Buying online from Lazada
I am in the middle of dispute with Lazada. I ordered a phone, paid COD and next day realized they had sent a wrong charger for it. I requested a proper charger (= USB-C charger) and they promptly promised to send one. Then nothing happens for one week, no contact, no charger, so my new phone is usel...

Radar88 on soi 88 west
Some of my friends (yes, I have friends, never mind the malicious rumors!) and I have enjoyed now for awhile the excellent food at Radar 88 on road 1043 (AKA soi 88) The steaks are quite on par with the ones we earlier got at Natta on 88, and the Mexican food is very good as well. The Saturday buffe...

Re: Water Pump
Big Kiang, on soi 88, will bring the new pump, remove the old and fit in the new one.
BTW: It rarely is worth it to repair an older pump, just get a new one. They usually last 8 - 15 years.

" Should you believe her?" Not in a position to judge, really. Most interesting thread for a while mind. All the better when this little gem below gets posted by fellow poster... By your own admission, you've only been here a few months. Some pointers.. 1. If you don't speak the language,...

Re: Outlook for Thailand
Didn't take long for this thread to go off-topic. :? This is kind of exactly what I am talking about here in this thread, People can just stay in their little gated communities(farang homeland simulators), villages, moo baans, small towns etc. and be completely insulated from Thailands prob...

Re: Outlook for Thailand
It is an individual thing what anyone considers BIG. I do not much care about Thai politics, ASEAN, the world as I am totally powerless to influence any of them one iota. Therefore BIG thing in my insignificant life (assuming I have one) is a good restaurant, a good painter, a good plumber and othe...

Re: Which Mobile Phone?
If I'd now buy a cellphone, I'd buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 or Note 3. Great specs, yet cheap. A friend has Note 2 and is over the moon for it. Sold by Lazada or by AliExpress about 35% cheaper. Some old phones, all still fully functional. Panasonic A 100 is surprisingly sophisticated to be such an old ...
