Re: New Hua Hin Immigration office at Bluport

Can anybody advise where to get photos for Immigration? In Bluport or Market Village perhaps?

Re: Leather armchair to be recovered

Thank you, everyone who's posted advice. This is very helpful, and I shall be spending some time this week in trying to locate the various companies mentioned.

Leather armchair to be recovered

As is obvious from the photo, this chair desperately needs recovering, preferably in leather. Can anyone please suggest places in Hua Hin where this can be done, or even where materials may be bought?

Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.

I timed myself driving back into town. It took me 5 minutes to the roundabout at the railway line. It's really not as far away as it seems.

Just 135 baht at Route 88, including a good slice of toast with marmalade and Danish butter. 15 baht more gives you a cup of tea or fresh filter coffee. It was excellent and a real bargain.

Re: Restaurants in Ko Tao & Pak Nam Pran

Don't forget the big noodle and kaaomangai place before the railway track. Excellent crispy pork and rice and broth. Somtam available two shops up. On the other side of Phetkasem Road there are several good small restaurants on the frontage road to the north of Soi 126, especially the one on the fir...

Had a very satisfying "Big Big" breakfast at Simbo in Soi 112 - https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Simb ... 6559225919. The accompanying coffee is fresh and excellent. It was one of those mornings (!) and I had a bloody mary with it for an extra 130 baht. :D

Re: Khao Soi in Hua Hin?

And so, with thanks to RCer, I finally sat down to khao soi at Loft Indy this afternoon. Very satisfactory. Interestingly, although it's more expensive than most of the other local lunchtime places around here - it's a "real" restaurant - there were a dozen or more customers still at table...

Re: Khao Soi in Hua Hin?

Khao Soi in Hua Hin = At Khao Tao, I know a better address in Chiang Mai. Do you know where Khao Tao is? It's only 3 or 4 km south of Hua Hin. Just past 7 Kings. From center HH 15 km. south. 555 Some sort of nitpicking pissing contest? I live in Khao Tao. You can spit across the border into Pranbur...

Re: Khao Soi in Hua Hin?

That sounds like S. Ken's Bistro. Next to the right turn which leads to Saai Noi beach. But... Oops! I've now done the sensible thing and googled it. Not Ken's. Before Ken's and the temple. I have no understanding of how I've missed it, and I'm very grateful, RCer, for your posts. And a lovely photo...

It sounds worth a visit, but it's a bit of a way for me, and I'd rather not do the drive if I'm not sure of finding and identifying the place. Does it have a name? In English? Soi number? Is it on the main road?

All guidance appreciated.
