Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

^To be honest, I agree with you but if I buy a TV or lawn mower in Thailand, it's made in China so I don't see any difference with buying a car, it’s just another consumer product. Thailand doesn't manufacture a domestic EV anyway so it's not like there's a choice. Surely, the big question is, base...

Just back to from a 579km round trip in my Toyota Yaris Cross, a petrol-hybrid.
Made sure it was full of fuel before leaving and got home earlier today. Fuel level getting low so will fill up (it takes four minutes) over the next few days. You can keep your ridiculous EVs.

Re: Hua Hin Motorcycle Taxi Driver Arrested For Egg Attack On Tourist

We have used the same tuk tuk driver for many years. He charges 200 baht to or from the town or 300 baht to or from Market Village/Soi 94. He has proven to be very reliable but his prices are just slightly less than a similar distance journey for me in the UK. We never drink and drive so we need a ...

Progress? Absolute mayhem!! They started off by closing the road, but then they opened it, and that is when the fight started :guns: If they were going to open the road, they needed some sort of traffic management. Will this actually improve anything, or just downgrade the Ogen side of the road to ...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

Make sure when it’s charging that it’s at least three metres from any structure and sat on a concrete apron. When it burns it will generate 2000c and destroy anything nearby.
You’re welcome.

The higher up you are, the quieter it becomes. Fewer mosquitoes and other creatures as well.

Chargers? 200km range? Queues? Random fires impossible to extinguish? EV worth f*ck all on the used market?
Haha ha.
Nope. I will keep my petrol car, thanks.

With our incompetent socialist government, I expect 37-8 to the £ when I next visit in March.

Happy new year to the EV owners on this forum from the child miners in the Congo and elsewhere. Isn’t virtue signalling wonderful?

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

There have been so many “false starts” when it comes to the holy grail of EV battery claims, especially those regarding Solid State batteries, but if one of the most prestigious motoring magazines in the UK writes about the breakthrough, most people will sit up and take note - hopefully the future ...

They're going to need a few new landfill sites to bury the damn things in a year or two.
