Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
It may be because you did not have a visa of any type. You cannot "convert" what you do not have, so I am guessing that they were just being awkward, as both of you had been here legally previously. Yes I’m sure they were being awkward and of course I had to do as they asked - normally yo...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
I’m only giving the experience I have of entering the country on the visa-exempt basis, the same as the OP asked and what I was asked to provide by immigration - albeit at Tha Yang, not HH immigration. It may be because you did not have a visa of any type. You cannot "convert" what you do...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
Thanks for the reply. I cannot recall whether the Bank certified the foreign origin of the money already (ie. when I asked for the visa the 1st time), or they did not do that (if this a is a newer requirement). In any case, even if the Bank no longer would keep old records, luckily I still have the ...

Expired retirement extension
I lived in Thailand on annual extensions of a NON-IM-O (retirement) visa, which expired whilst I was out of the country, and unable to return due to the COVID. Now I returned a visa exempt ‘entry stamp’ in my passport, and want to go for yearly extensions, again. The required >800 000 TB amount is p...

Re: Flexible PVC Pipe (solvent weld)
<What's hard for me to understand is how 20 grams of biofilm can halve the diameter of the 5/8" hose in less than 48 hour.> To put it more correctly, the hydraulic effect of the jelly appears to be equivalent of using a clean hose of 8 mm diameter. Here we don't know the 'wet' volume of the ge...

Re: Flexible PVC Pipe (solvent weld)
That's quite a drop! To make a simple model, I took various 'new condition' hose diameters, 28 C temperature, 0.25 mm abs rougness for the hoses, 1 of 90 degree bend + some other minor losess. about twice of the bend. Pump shutoff head = 3.50 m, and the QH curve is simply a straight line from that p...

Re: Flexible PVC Pipe (solvent weld)
That effect is negligible, hence I think that the likely cause of the problem is hose kinking, as suggested by Scout earlier. I was looking into the hydraulic aspects (unusual/interesting case!), besides that you obviously thought about changing the hose as the simplest/cheapest possible solution. ...

Re: Flexible PVC Pipe (solvent weld)
The biofilm build-up in the hose does not reduce the effective internal diameter much. A 1 - 2 mm reduction of the about 16 mm "clean" hose diameter after biofilm build-up, the resulting extra head (pressure) drop is around a few cm, for the given pump specs and some assumptions. That effe...

My laptop won't let me access those apps : With file download problems you can try these simple measures: 1. Relax the security settings of your browsers. For example, in Chrome go to Settings/ Security and Privacy / Security and select "No protection" - for the time being. 2. Switch off ...

.. I've tried 6, and all come up as an invalid format  Not to worry. I checked the barebone "Z" player available at the support site of your camera (https://www.vstarcam.com/software-download) https://doraemon.camera666.com/videoplayer.zip Hint: you may have to disable the crappy Win...

Re: The Digital Surgery (computer questions/problems here)
I have 2 options, .h264 or .h264+. I've switched one camera to ,h264+ to see if it makes any difference. Is there no simple .h264 player that I can install? H.264+ was developed by Hikvision. You can try their players (VSPlayer_x64 or VSPlayer_x86): https://www.hikvision.com/europe/support/tools/hi...
