I like to get a 'balanced' view of things when I can.

pdm, If I was a vegetarian and decided to argue the fact that eating meat is healthier for you...then decided to strengthen my argument with a website called http://www.stopeatinganimals.com, would you take my argument seriously? Depends whether it was factually based or not. BBW is, your rhetoric ...

Re: CCTV in Hua Hin
City centre CCTV solves nothing except displaces the same level of crime to without the coverage area. It's a well known, documented phenomenon in the UK. What does cctv do? Has it prevented crime? No, not a bit as GLC's case shows. His ipad was still taken and it took him a good portion of time to ...

Re: Lottery prize and keeping it a secret or not?
This is exactly what I thought the thread would be about. Anyone who makes a decent lottery win public (outside their immediate family) is instantly exposing their close friends and family to the risk of kidnap, themselves to extortion or any other number of criminal acts. You do realize it's the a...

Re: Swimming pools and young children.
Very sensible. I read a story only the other day of a baby that sadly drowned after the father failed to close the door properly when he left to go shopping, with the mother asleep inside the house. You might also want to consider something like this. I'm not endorsing it, and DYOR, etc, but it look...

Re: Lottery prize and keeping it a secret or not?
Personally (and we all have different circumstances), I'd have no fear whatsoever about my wife knowing. The biggest fear for me would be the sudden demands from the 'lazy gits' who are extended family up North. It took several years to explain that marriage did not give them instant access to my b...

Sorry for the confusion.

I actually bought mine from hhfarang but I did take a look at Master Cues. Prices range from 700Bt to many thousands of Bt.Pagey wrote:Did you buy a cue from 'Master Cues' pdm3547, if so what sort of prices are they ?
Patty is really helpful and I'm sure you'll find one you need.

Nice place actually. Much more airy and roomy than the containers on the other side of the road.
Nice behind the scenes as well

Interesting about the airport bus. Two bar owners have told me independently that this is the quietest they have seen HH at this time of year for 8-10 years.

A quick Mai Ow Krap works perfectly well. If you're not going to buy, they won't waste time with you. That said, there's a little dude around Binta who I recognise. He sees me, knows I'm not going to buy, but he always has a smile on his face and does a little dance. He usually carries two roses, wi...

As terrible as what he may have done is, the statute of limitations must be less than 9 years for crimes such as this. I'm not sure a prosecutor can prosecute now even if he wanted to. Of course, I'm basing my thoughts on US law but would think the UK is similar. Pete The UK has no statute of limit...

Re: visa extensions
Confirmed! I just turned up a few days before my current 30 Day Stay stamp expired and got a 30 day extension for 1900 Baht. Very simple. Need to bring a photo, your passport and your entry card/stamp. They can complete the forms and make copies for you outside, for a very small fee. (10-20 Baht) N...
