Re: Tummakam Pier at Chumphon
I've taken the trip several times, and the easiest way I have found is to go past the main gate of the Novotel, (heading south) and there is a right turn about 3-4 kms' on the right side which leads you up to the pier. The Notovel might also show up easier on your GPS Plan for 20-25 minutes from the...

Re: Video: Wreck diving in Chumphon
I dived this site about 3 weeks after the wreck was sunk, and of course not a lot of extras had taken residence yet.
Nice coral growth in the 2 years it's been at rest....
Did you use the GoPro for stills as well, as I'm really tempted to get one if it's okay?

Re: Crash involving two schoolgirls aged 16
In my opinion ( & experience), it is not always best just to accept your lot as the "Farang" & pay up. Of course it depends on the seriousness of the accident also, and how much cash is being requested. You made the right call to fork out the THB 4k & be done with it Some years...

Re: Scuba tank fills
Worth checking with the HH Fire Station, as they will most likely have a compressor to fill thier breathing apperatus tanks.
Otherwise, the nearsest place would be Bang Saphan or even Chumphon were teh diver operators are.

Re: Hotel Duty of care to guests and breach of trust
Generally speaking, as long as nothing "inappropriate" happened on the hotel premises, there is little or nothing an employer can do. If the personal meetings were outside of work hours & off site, the only gripe you can have is with your wife. Sure the hotel will listen compassionatly...

Re: Hua Hin to become a MICE destination
Hua Hin has been a MICE detsination for years already. Why else would larger hotels have banqueting facilities & multiple meeting rooms? The main MICE buisness is taken from May - Sept. After this period, the hotels are unable to offer the blocks of rooms required by the groups (80- 100 rooms fo...

Noppawon claims this “sobriety shock” is an actual medical pathology and recommends that hospitals offer free alcohol IV drips during the election weekend. How sad that we as "farangs" are being thought of in such ways. If someone really cannot...
